I am a friendly person who enjoys a good conversation. My two college degrees are in geography & I taught 9th grade world geography...so I like to TRAVEL. I have visited all 50 states & 38 foreign countries. I also like our National Parks & have hiked, backpacked & visited 50 (of the 59).
I visited Panama in 2010 & took a ship tour the 50 mile Panama Canal. May 2016 I made a return visit to Sweden after 50 years. I visited my 1960 pen pal & her family. I worked in Sweden between Sept 1965 - May 1966. Poland became my 38th country. I visited the Oskar Schlindler's Factory Museum in Krakow & did a bike tour of the old town. I also visited the Nazi death camps of Auschwitz I & II (also called Birkenau).
I also like the outdoors....biking, hiking & camping. I worked with a local Scout troop for 25 year & I'm also an Eagle Scout. I live near the Shenandoah National Park & do enjoy hiking its many trails. I have liked biking for a long time & enjoy biking the historic C&O Canal towpath trail. The past ten years, I have gone more to road biking.
My interest also include taking pictures, beaching, eating out, going to movies-musicals-museums & concerts, staying home, watching tv, dancing, visiting family & friends, cuddling & more.
