First thing you should know about me is that I have a disability known as cerebral palsy (CP) that I was born with. Basically all it means is that my brain sends mixed up/wrong messages to parts of my body. It is a very mild case, so I am lucky. I can walk for short distances with crutches or holding onto to someone's hand or whatnot. For long distance, I use a manual wheelchair. Really the only other thing my CP affects is some of my fine motor skills (can't use a combination lock, etc)... other than that, I am pretty "normal" (I hate that word!)
I am what I like to call a "bi-relational" Army wife who is separated from my husband, meaning we live together, but nothing more.
I am usually shy at first but once I get to know you I open up pretty quickly. I tend to fall in love fast and more often than not, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I wish I didn't, but I do. I have had my heart broken more times than I care to count and looking for a fresh start. I am tired of all the drama of my past relationships. It is time for a relationship without any of that childish stuff. I like to think of myself as a puzzle with lots of different pieces and quirks that make me unique. I am looking for my missing piece, could that be you?
People often mistake me for a 12-16 year old and don't believe them me when I tell them that I really am 26 years old. It used to bother me a lot more, but I am used to it now. I just tell people "hey, some of the best things come in small packages." I may be small, but I have a huge heart and lot of love to give. I have had a tough life on so many levels and I know what it feels like to be used, abused, and unloved. Because I know how bad that hurts, I do whatever it takes to make the people in my life feel cared for and loved.
My taste in music is pretty eclectic, but I listen to Country mostly. However, if you really nicely and butter me up, I might be willing to listen to your tunes too (wink) I enjoy being outdoors, I love spontaneous road trips that have no planned destination. I also appreciate the value of lazy days and sitting around in my pajamas watching television all day. I love passionate make-out sessions and snuggling while watching romantic movies. I believe a relationship without romance is dead. I believe a good relationship is so very much more than what happens in the bed room. It is about real connection. It is about being able to enjoy each others company with no pressure or expectations. I am a firm believer that there must be a very strong emotional connection for a relationship to succeed. I really love public displays of affection and I am not afraid to show them. If someone is offended by seeing two people in love and expressing that love, it makes me wonder what is missing in that person's life? They are obviously jealous!
I am looking for someone who will accept and love, and care for who I am, and not try to change me. Someone who knows the value of and appreciates the small things that make a partner feel special. Example: let me lay in your lap while you play with my hair, leave sticky notes with sweet messages for me to find in unexpected places, send me a text or call me just to say "I'm thinking about you" etc. I am a hopeless romantic. In my mind, romance doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. It can be as simple as a home-cooked meal by candlelight or a picnic in the park.
I am not interested in a superficial, fake love, so if that is what you are about, don't bother sending me a message. I am a basket full of unique and quirky traits and am looking for someone who can handle me. I need someone who is loyal and honest and not going to turn their back on me just because times get though. Someone who understands the value of patience, honesty, and sometimes compromise, and someone who is willing to put in the effort it takes to have a real meaningful relationship. Relationships are not always easy and are not always a bed of roses, but I believe if two people are willing to work hard and stay committed, the hard work can pay off and the reward can be oh so sweet!
Whenever you need me, I’ll be there (even if it's just in the form of a 3am phone call), and I’ll expect the same from you. I’ll hold you when you are weak and it can be our secret. I am a great secret keeper. I do like some form of contact every day, even if it's just a 5 minute phone call or a text message or an email. I like touching base. Knowing that I am on your mind, rocks! I’ll memorize things about you, your favorite team, your favorite color, your favorite soda, chips, etc. Any present big or small will make me happy. I call when I say I’ll call, but I won’t bother you when you are out with your friends. Your words, job, car, bank account and home will not impress me, but your actions will.
If I start to care about you, I’ll try and talk myself out of it, but not for long, because your smile will remind me that I am helpless with such things.
