If you believe the hype I'm somewhat interesting. I am a sadhu towards life, and can expound endlessly on meditation, or Yoga. I currently teach both middle and high school, which while satisfying in a civic way, provides no opportunity to discuss eastern philosophy.
I have an interest in civics and social activism but rarely have time for it, and more often than not find myself outdoors.
What I’m doing with my life
Working - as a teacher, on insight, and life. When not teaching I am reading, meditating, or sparring. It's been far too long sense I practiced seriously and I am trying to get back into it.
More generally I am finishing a masters degree.
I’m really good at
Social commentary, cooking, thinking. Particularly the last two. I have been told that I am a good artist but I find it too tedious to produce much.
The first things people usually notice about me are likely my beard, which is rather large. Then they usually notice I don't say much.
I have diverse taste in music but as a general rule I let time sort out what is worth reading or listening to, so if it is not over 40 years old I probably have not heard of it.
Classical Spanish guitar, Yoshida Brothers and Black Sabbath top my list.
For books I look even farther back. I have a wonderful collection of 17th to 19th century books from my ill fated book business I am still trying to work through. I am also eagerly awaiting the next Dresden Files book.
I don't watch a lot of tv or movies or spend much time on the internet. I find they eat too much of my time if I allow it. If something persisted in the public consciousness long enough to reach me then I will have a look - normally I don't seek them out. Oddly enough animated films and series have been cropping up lately; which is a turn from my normal foreign art film.
