"I've looked at love from both sides now",,,,a Judy Collins song I like. I am a very good friend; I love to be w/ people, and also like being alone. My 2 doggies are my constant companions. I'm intelligent, have traveled to Europe, Canada and Mexico.
I'd like to find someone who has a good sense of humor, is intelligent, and easy-going. Someone who likes to converse, but can enjoy quiet times. You cd be a carpenter, a businessman, a professor, a truck driver; it's the chemistry that makes it work. Affectionate, honest, trustworthy are qualities I'm looking for.
I use a Hoveround power chair to get around--fell off a cliff when I was 20. Dumb--I was rock-climbing w/out using ropes. I got around just great on crutches until about10 yrs ago, when I started using the power chair. I drive my own w/c lift van, don't need hand controls. I'm independent and happy.
I live in Quartzsite, AZ--a haven for snowbirds, fun people, people who like to sing/listen to music, shop the swap meets. Fun-loving, nature-loving, pet lover, that's me!
I live in desert now; could relocate. I've worked most of my life, am now enjoying retirement!
I have been here over 3 yrs.--hubby died about that time. My hobbies include: computers, karaoke, walking my dogs, watching TV and Netflix movies. listening to music. I even like board games: Scrabble, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, you name it! . I have lived all over the US, and have traveled to Europe, Canada, and Mexico. (Which is not too far from here, BTW). I used to be a French teacher, a houseparent for emotionally disturbed kids, and a theologian. My goal in life is to treat others kindly; to enjoy the last decades of my life with no guilt. I love most kinds of music, and especially folk, classic rock, folk/rock, country, and classical. I used to play guitar, but now mostly sing karaoke. I really love Nature--stars, plants, animals, sunsets, etc. I have strong family and friendship ties, many with whom I keep in touch thru Facebook. I laugh a lot!
