Just moved to Richmond from NC. Figured I would see who/what is around. Looking for someone who I can have fun and laugh with, but also enjoy a deep conversation with. I enjoy being around intelligent people who are serious in their goals but know how to kick back and not take themselves or life TOO seriously. Must have an open mind and a sense of adventure! SMOKING is a dealbreaker though. If you smoke at all I can't be around you.
Some things that immediately turn me off are: 1--Typing in idiot speak. "how r u?", etc. I get this is the age of the cell phone and people tend to do things like that when texting, and I can understand shortening long words, but it just looks like laziness when you can't even type out "How are you?"
2--Talking to me as if you already know me. "Hey sexy" is not a good opener. It actually makes you look like a player, or at least someone who is really shallow.
3--Complaining. "Hi, I'm sooooo bored." Piece of advice...when you start making negative statements you wind up putting yourself into a rut with that. Trust me, I've been there. I made a decision to be a positive person and surround myself with happy, positive people. It's not EASY, but nothing worthwhile ever is. But once you make that choice you'll see how much your quality of life will improve.
4--Bragging. Confidence is attractive, arrogance is not.
5--Your photos look like you don't exercise basic hygiene and grooming. You don't have to be dressed to the nines in your pictures, but if you have a scraggly beard, bad teeth, sloppy clothes, etc in your pictures I'm going to assume what you see is what you get. There's nothing wrong with taking some pride in your appearance. It shows self-respect.
