Well hello there,
I'll start off by doing what I do best; being blunt.
I am the new stay-at-home-mother of a gorgeous 1 year old child who is my pride, my joy, and my life. That being said, my child is my first priority. Plain and simple. Also, let's just say I'm celibate for the time being that way no one has any expectations that don't get met. I'm a classy girl, take that statement how ever you want but the bottom line is, I need to know someone for awhile before getting intimate. If you aren't deterred yet then by all means, read on!
I'm currently on route to my veterinary technician degree so that I can make more money doing what it is that I do; taking care of animals. I've been in the field for about 7 years and if I could "grandfather" in, I'd be all over it. Unfortunately my state doesn't allow it so I'm stuck spending the time and money for the paperwork, which I actually don't mind. In the long run it will make me that much better at what I do. My educational passions also include science (biology and zoology), art and english. I love to paint, draw and write anything from poetry to short stories and novels. Some of my favorite books are the Laurell K. Hamilton Series, The Count of Monte Cristo, and the Fifty Shades Series (yes, I'm a sap), among many others.
I am a very compassionate person; I love nature and animals of all kinds (bugs don't count). I don't tolerate animal abuse or hunting for sport what so ever so if you're one of those folks, do us both a favor and overlook my profile. I enjoy helping out at animal shelters, visiting nature reserves and parks and make a habit of rescuing and fostering animals from shelters. I have my own canine companion named Kerrigan (from Starcraft), who is a border collie mix rescue that is as sweet as she is loyal.
I can find a song I like in almost any genre, however I tend to stay away from anything with screeches and screams. My favorites would be indie, folk, instrumental and alternative rock like Blackmore's Night, Metric, 3 Doors Down, Lacuna Coil, Lindsey Stirling, Tegan and Sara, Kimbra, among many, many others. I'm always looking for more music so let's swap some tunes!
For the record I also love video games, although I don't play them nearly as much as I used to. Anime also calms my soul; Chobits, Hellsing, Naruto Shippuden, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, and Wolf's Rain are just some of my favorites. I am also pretty deep into the anthropomorphic art world (yes... furries). Eventually I'd like to attend both anime and anthro conventions once my little munchkin is old enough to enjoy them too.
Well that's enough about me, now for what I'm looking for:
I'm mostly here to get to know people and make some friends but it would be great to meet my soul mate; whatever happens, happens.
