To start off, my name is Showalter. I was named after my grandfather. However, how this strange name came to be? Well my grandfather’s parents were talking to their neighbors who had a farm of cows and made a deal with the neighbors. The deal was to name their next child after them, the Showalter’s, for a cow in return. So they both agree on this deal and how my name came to be. But I didn’t also know my name was Showalter till the fourth grade. I use to be called David by everyone, because that is what my mom wanted to name me. Even though my dad named me Showalter, he was never in my life. Therefore I never got the chance to know my real name till a teacher told me.
Moving on, I am a gamer; I have been since I was a kid starting out on the normal Nintendo. Currently, I still play games to this day. However, I do get bored with them quick if I don’t have someone else to play with. I don’t have many friends, but I try to play games with them when we are both have free time. For the games I am playing now are all on the pc, which are WoW, LoL, and Pokemon rom hacks. If any people that are interest in video games and would just like to game it out, I would love to join you. I am open to any type of game, but I do have my dislike, which are sports, flying, and racing. I like cod and other fps but I just suck at them. I am the guy with a shotgun in your face and am just missing over and over till I have to reload.
How would you like a cute puppy or two? Well I have six dogs; four are not even a year old. I love animals, so much I did want to be a vet when I grow up all the way till I was 16. However, I am not as crazy as you may think; these dogs are like my kids to me. Would you kick a dog, or even a puppy out to the street to just die? I wouldn’t, but there are a lot of people that would. Each one of my dog has his/her own story why they came to be with me. I rescued all them and care for them to my best.
Education is a plus in my book. I am currently enrolled at UWF to get my BS in Computer Engineering. This degree is more on the hardware side of the computer, but after taking some classes in programming, I learned that is what I enjoy doing. With my goals to get out after school to be a programmer helps my nerdy gamer side. Since I love video games, I would love to be on the team to develop a top selling game. Even one day being the creator to many popular games to come. My dream and goals are big, but nothing will stop me.
Another thing about me is that I watch anime. After talking with someone, she told me I would be an otaku. I don’t read manga or dress up for cosplay, but I do like seeing other people in cosplay. It is neat to see how people bring the anime character to life. Thanks to adult swim in middle school, I got into anime. However, I don’t watch things in English dub, always English sub, unless it is Avatar the Legend of Korra. Anime to me is not something I can sit down and watch with others. I didn’t say I won’t sit on the couch and watch a movie. Both are different to me. Even though I have one friend I talk to about anime, I don’t get into too much as if I was talking about games.
Music is leading entrainment of the world, but for the longest I wasn’t into music, not till 10th grade. And over the past year music has more meaning for it. I use to use music as a white noise to focus my concentration for games or other task. Now I listen to the words and find the meaning to songs now. I listen to R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop mostly, but I am ok with anything not screamo, metal, techno, or dupstep.
