I have a great job in the publishing industry. Yup, you read that right. I am using my B.A. in English to earn real, paper money.  Even though I really love my job, my happiness comes from the stuff I do outside of the office. I feel energized when I connect with new people, and I've learned to take every opportunity to try new activities. I even started a Meetup group for girls who want to make new friends in the East Bay. So far, so good! I'm the kind of person that will say yes to that city-wide pillow fight or kitschy dive bar or drunken kickball game, when nobody else will. Recently, I had a blast at a Tomato Battle, and the D*ckens Christmas Fair (not at the same time, thankfully!). By the way, I'm really bummed I missed "No Pants on BART" day... AGAIN!  I also make it a priority to keep active and stay in shape. I go to the gym a few times a week, I do a little yoga, and sometimes I'll go do something fun like swing dancing.. I'm good at expressing myself creatively; accepting what life throws at me being flexible and laid back; dealing with and understanding cats; approaching life with optimism; learning new things; planning, organizing & directing groups of people; self-awareness; communicating and empathizing; thrift shopping; doing nails...
