I am a one man woman and not interested in serial daters. I like fun, easy-going, and real. I hike to stop and smell the roses and take in the scenery. I like movies, the theater, and art museums. I enjoy local events. Similar interests and an attraction to a photo are the most you can hope for online. The rest depends on if there is that same attraction when two people meet.
The type of man I'm attracted to is confident and can take charge, a man I can respect. Creativity for a first meeting is a huge plus. Plato said, "You can learn more about someone in an hour of play than in a lifetime of conversation." That includes telephone conversations, emails, and chit chat over coffee. So if you shy away from being spontaneous or taking risks and want an autobiography before we meet, I'm probably not a good match for you. I also love to be silly sometimes!
I'm open to many types of events. It's all about getting together to "DO" something. Two people don't know if they "click" until they engage in social activities with each other. Having lunch or dinner is great with a friend you know and can relax with, but it's more like an interrogation when it's with a stranger and not what I would call a "social event". I’m impressed when a man has a date, time, and place he'd like to meet – and doesn’t ask me to decide. I’m even more impressed if she has a Plan B, in case Plan A can’t be accomplished (natural disasters, road closures, event cancellations, dog ate the theater tickets). Don't misunderstand...you don't have to do all the thinking, I can well take care of the both of us, but it's nice to know that you're a stand up, take charge individual if need be.
I’ve been advised that emails, phone calls, and meet-and-greet coffee breaks are “the way it’s done” with internet dating. That's OK for the initial meeting.
Looks are not the most important thing to me, but the person I'd be attracted to would definitely take care of himself. He would be intelligent, a good communicator, a gentleman, strong in character, love to travel near and far, can have fun doing many different things, is easy going, and is serious about finding someone special. He has friends that he values and he's good to his mom. Not to mention that he does not wear wrinkled clothes or smoke...
