After having spent two years getting my master's degrees in London, UK, I'm new to Topeka and am looking to meet intelligent people who love talking about anything from philosophy and politics to tv shows and movies. Dog lovers please! I'm looking for an intelligent, articulate guy who is able to hold his own in a discussion but is laid back enough to enjoy spending relaxing time together as well.
How do you end up back in Kansas after you grow up in a small Kansas town with 50 people, spend the last 3 years studying in England, and the last year in beautiful Montana? I've heard this question at least daily since moving to town, and I'd love to tell you the story sometime. I've travelled around almost continually since graduating high school to pursue educational programs that intrigue me. I'm independent enough to seek out what I want, regardless of where I end up going to get it. Now, I'm settled in the "real world" (does Topeka count as the real world?- I'm new, so you tell me...) and would love to meet new like-minded people. I volunteered at Battersea Dog's Home in London, which is one of the oldest dog shelters in the world. I love spending as much time as possible with dogs, but I know it's not fair to get my own as long as I live alone and spend so little time at home. I'd love to meet and play with your dog, though!
Intelligent but down-to-earth, I can happily discuss the philosophical meaning of personal identity and watch a few episodes of Scrubs all in the same night. I love to cook a delicious meal or get carry-out Chinese and a DVD. I don't wear much makeup so I'm always prepared to play in the rain (if we ever get any...). With a low-maintainance style, I can play outside with a dog without worrying about getting my clothes dirty. Dogs have it figured out- it's more fun to live than to worry about how you look watching everyone else live.
I can't wait for time to get back to the mountains in search of waterfalls and rivers. In Norway, I walked on the Floien mountain during a light rain, with the water flowing down the mountainside, creating tiny streams. Enveloped by the mist, the foliage, and the soft sounds of water, I forgot the rest of the world for the moment. I would love to recreate this entrancing experience. I've had amazing experiences that could only be improved by sharing new ones with a special someone- care to join me?
