My brother tried it when I lived with him. It's more of a bf reducing workout and it boost your stamina.... Best results will be with a descent diet. Not the greatest for building muscle mass though. And don't say muscle on chicks looks bad Jessica biel has an athletic build and omg I love that woman! Lol hope this helps.

Lol your looking for squats or leg press. When you go down, if you go like an inch or two below 90 degrees that's where the flute really activates. If you watch people at a gym alot of people doing squats or leg press stop an inch or two ABOVE 90 degrees... Just robbing themselves. Try a set of each and I guarantee you will feel the difference. P90X is a little alot more geared toward muscle building. You use weights in that one and you need resistance more resistance for your body to say "damn, this weight is hard and I need more muscle to do this." As you get stronger you add more weight to cause a further response. Once your at a level your happy at switch to more endurance style workouts(15-20 rep) to maintain muscle mass and stay lean. There's a whole world of information out there for you and it's awesome and fun that we have so much control over the composition of our bodies(granted it takes hard work and dedication).
Get some! Lol

This work out was being discussed in an O.R. Room I was circulating last week. An orthopedic surgeon complained he was seeing rotator cuff tears from it. So be careful it you use it

My sister used both insanity & p90x. She loved the results she got with both. Of course, keep in mind, that she was not over weight when she started. She just wanted to tone.

I bought Insanity about 4 months ago. I plan to start January 1. I plan to follow it to the T. Diet and I'm going a step above! No alcohol. I'm giving myself 12 months. I also plan to do yoga, meditation and pilates plus I like jumping rope, walking and stair climbing. No cheating! WHATSOEVER.

Insanity is amazing! We have a group where I live that's free to go do the workouts twice a week. I could barely walk for about a week after the first couple of times I did it but it felt great!

I've done insanity twice, p90x twice. If you take care of your body with a good diet, increase your protein intake to 1 gram per pound, and make sure to increase your vitamin C intake as your immune system will see a hit while your body rebuilds, you will see good results. I lost 80lbs doing insanity, developed my own workouts and toned up. But just remember, the bodys chiseled not by the workouts, but in the kitchen. Just watch your carb intake if your cutting and keep your protein level up and you will see good results.

I agree. I tried it, was getting great results, but I think if you are too aggressive with it, form suffers. I have had a bad left shoulder ever since. I LOVE P90X work outs though. If you are looking for muscle/endurance, also look into CrossFit and TRX as well.
