Gosh, I'm in another state but here Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and a few other churches help ppl when they are short on bills.. I've not had to use them but I'm sure glad they are around in case..
Sometimes you can call Red Cross and they may have a listing or the local SRS/DCF..

Call churches they may be able to help or point you in the right direction. The Salvation Army can help with food and a good source of info. Good luck, I will keep you in my prayers.

Are you crazy? There's payday loan places on like every block. They're not something you want to make a regular because you end up paying more back then you borrowed because of the astronomical interest but if you need help then it's there. My mom goes in circles with these places. She borrows from one then borrows from another to pay the first back and so on. You could also ask so split your rent into half payments.

I would HIGHLY not recommend the payday loans, that's a never ending cycle to play catch up... It would be better to get cash off of a credit Card.. this way you can pay it back without that cycle, yes CC's have a high percentage when taking cash but it's MUCH BETTER than the payday loans.. I know ppl who do the same thing and they can't get out of it.. its a sad way to live.. It's hard being behind on one bill you don't need more stress. so if you can AVOID the payday loan I WOULD totally avoid it.. (last resource if all else)
When I'm in need of cash, I don't owe nor own CC's so, I myself either have a garage sale or I create Jewelry and offer it at a discounted price.. I also have items on consignment in various stores (nice when a check arrives)
Single parents, sometimes "little" things cost us SO MUCH and it can get tough for us, I do know, so I wish you much luck and hope that you find a resource for your need.

Don't gotta say that again, that would be a Topic on it's own, my ex was FORCED to pay when he worked.. abt $50 a mo for oh 6mo would tell my kids jackpot, you can each buy 1pk of socks and a pair of undies.. (they were in high school) so they got the jest of it..
