As much as I love football, I would have to answer with Golf..
Low impact sport, besides the walking..The pay-outs are high dollar..The game can be well played into a persons 70's to 80's...

My answer, New years night, 1987-88. I was dating Jo Ann, never kissed her, but spent time together, enjoyed each others company. Well, new years night was a time she spent with her daughters, I was insecure, thought of it as a rejection. I went to a dance, met Betty, had sex, moved in together along with her 2 children, married in Sept, divorced 23 years later. Damn, I wish I had kissed Jo, didn't know she had fallen for me until it was too late.

Obsess...no, not so much..Does fishing count..?
I do geek out over football season...Also, I have a couple "guilty pleasure" TV shows..Supernatural for one, and Sons of Anarchy would be the other.. Even though I dont do cable or satelite. Just wait for the new seasons to pop up on Netflix...Helps pass the colder months where its not so nice to spend time outside..

I was in nursing for over 20 years, the last 12 I have worked with child/adult disabilities. This has been the best job ever. It has made me humble many times.

@ Lar:The one I have currently...Jeweler/Store Manager..
Sales, diamond & precious stone setting, custom design, remounts, and all repair work..
@Harder: End of a tiring day..like to go home, have a cup of coffee, make some supper, kick back in my easy chair...Or if the weather is nice, grab the fising pole and head out to the lake..

As for affecting me..well, guess it taught me at an early age to be Independant. After parents split, I lived with my Dad. He was a truck driver, long distance over the road, gone for weeks at a time. Got to be somewhat of a bachelor at the age of 14...

Carpentry...Ive never done it..Was on my own when I was younger...Dad wasnt ever any good at it. Then in High School, I got into welding/braising/cutting..found my knack for manipulating metals.
Would enjoy learning how to build furniture/woodworking stuff..

My grandfather that I never met...
He fought the good fight, was in WWII European Theatre.. His group was the first to liberate a jewish Concentration Camp..
Worked in Ottumwa at the John Deere Factory, he and my Gma also ran the Childrens Home Finding there too, thats where they found my mother..

If I had one wish.... the first thing I thought of I won't post, so # 2 wish... is that it is true there is a time/place after you die that you get to be with all of the people you have loved in your life.

Fight off the bad memories (thats what it is w/me usually)...Tell myself, that things will get better with time. Stay positive, look for the best in situations. Ill pop in a movie, or go out to the lake and walk around. Just about anything that I truely enjoy doing. Excersize works well too, take out my frustrations on some weights..
Helps take the edge off..
