Whatever works for you, But if buying new It would only be Ford today as it has managed to stay American so far. Not saying many of the forign names are now American made also. But today I would never support GM Government Motors. Yes they once made the best but today

yes foreign cars. They are actually reliable and don't break down and cost a bunch of money in repairs as often as American mades do. My mom used to say ford stands for fix or repair daily. Anytime we've owned an american car, it was a piece of crap. All of our cars are either Japanese, Korean, or German.

Ford every time. I got a '68 Mercury Cougar with a hopped up 302 under the hood. More reliable than my Sierra if you can believe. Hahaha

Personally ima mopar fan and the cummins'll take on anything
from lots of years on harvest over the road the ford powerstroke will out pul the cummins and mopar dont own the rite to cummins ford always has and dodge lost the cummins after 2013 ford took it back. hopefully they scrap it cuse the suck. at a medium ayload they only get 2.9 pg. junk them ford all the way.

1967 Chevy C1500 longbed fleetside
1968 Chevy C1500 longbed stepside
1978 Chevy K10 engine/tranny/transfer case all rebuilt and now have about 22k miles
1985 Chevy K20 14 bolt and dana 60 axles, 402 BB, sm465 4spd transmission, np205 transfer case, 18" total lift on 44" irok boggers
1990 Toyota 4Runner - in process of putting a chevy 4.3L and a solid front axle under it

dana 40s are easy to tweak ...
i have yet to totally tweak a dana 60 ...
if i had the money i'd put a shortened dana 80 out of the newer dodges under one ...

I drive a dodge cummins, if its a diesel ur lookin for u cant go wrong with a dodge cummins, if ur into gasers, chevy is the only way to go. But bein a diesel guy myself dodge all the way.

Have a friend that had a Ford pickup one or two years old, He hit a deer and needed his truck sooner than could be fixed so just bought a brand new Ford pickup.
He clames the ride & drive & motor in the new one is just awesome as to his other one.
So the New Ford pickups must be pretty darn nice.
