Dang Clarity, is this a occupation, where do you find the time for all If this political chit. Although I see your point of view and respect it just as that "a point of view" I hear out in the world daily, and know tv when I watch the news channels. I'm a member in your audience, and often agree with what you say. But with all due respect to you. I worry your ranting about the system has turned your thinking into a constant fixation. Do you ever just take a day and let your mind go to a pleasant place. U say this with a little jest lol. But I do hope it all don't tun you Looney Tuney lol. Please take a breath and let the tv commentators and radio hosts do your job. Get out smile and notice everything I'd not as serious as a failed political system. Life is still going on for most, despite the broken system that we all live in and deal with everyday. Thanks for your warnings. Enjoy the soap box rantings of your threads. Just know it's only your personal opinion, and not Gospel. Maybe a part if revelation. But, certainly not Gospel. Thanks for letting me rant for awhile. LOL, it I'd s little fun blowing off steam. go for it tom!
^^Hmmmm....^^
A 61% tax rate? And Denmark is the "happiest" country in the world? According to the United Nations? LOL, since the UN is the acting enforcer of the "puppet masters" of the world, I detect a semblance of a conflict of interest.
I wonder how a tax rate of 61% would sit with Americans, even at a minimum wage of $20/hr.
Let's see: That's roughly $8/hr. take home for the minimum wage earner - at 33 hours/week, that's $264/week take home pay and even considering that health care, child care and "free" college education being paid for by the government....it would still not be enough to support a family of 4.
Conclusion: I really doubt Denmark is the happiest country on earth. BTW, they've been infiltrated by Muslims in recent years, Muslims being the majority of welfare and "free" medical recipients while most of the Denmark peoples are working their asses off to make ends meet while the "entitlement receivers" are living off the government's receipts of those taxes. Bottom line: "Kiss my ass" United Nations!

You advised her to let TV commentators do her job....respectfully, that's her problem....when she isn't posting propaganda, she is glued to Fox News...I bet she watches it all day at work! On the way home, she listens to nutty right wing talk radio...Rush or Beck....it would be less difficult for a minor to escape Westboro Baptist Church indoctrination than for Clarity to escape her right wing nut job delusional world.

LoL, how can you throw people into the same bucket just because of their political views and values? Seems you are very insensitive to the needs of others. Many countries have had civil wars and failed being a United and free because of thinking in the manner that you think. Seems you are looking for a dictatorship instead of a democratic state. Anyways preach on sister, it is your right.

How Taxes Work . . .
This is a VERY simple way to understand the tax laws. Read on — it does make you think!!
Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men — the poorest — would pay nothing; the fifth would pay $1, the sixth would pay $3, the seventh $7, the eighth $12, the ninth $18, and the tenth man — the richest — would pay $59.
That's what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement — until one day, the owner threw them a curve (in tax language a tax cut).
"Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20." So now dinner for the ten only cost $80.00.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six — the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his "fair share?"
The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being PAID to eat their meal. So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of his earlier $59. Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. "I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man who pointed to the tenth. "But he got $7!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man, "I only saved a dollar, too ... It's unfair that he got seven times more than me!".
"That's true!" shouted the seventh man, "why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison, "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night he didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered, a little late what was very important. They were FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS short of paying the bill! Imagine that!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college instructors, is how the tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up at the table anymore.
Where would that leave the rest? Unfortunately, most taxing authorities anywhere cannot seem to grasp this rather straightforward logic!
even snopes could not argue the point of this essay...
only the authorship!

dang tom...
i finally have a day off so i can respond to your question...
this is NOT my occupation tho honestly some may consider it to be a PREoccupation.
some may even think im obsessed. i prefer to think of myself as a concerned citizen
of these UNITED STATES of AMERICA. and if i can help to inform just one more person
then i feel i have accomplished a good thing. plus its just a fun divergent from
all my other PREoccupations...lol
i do work, tho semi retired now and those days vary week to week and my time is my
own as far as scheduling my work days and hours. i also take care of my disabled adult
son 1 or 2 days a week and sometimes all weekend and i also get to visit with my mom for
a weekend a month, who lives a few hours away. i also help my daughter and her
family with various household duties, pick up or deliver kids, prepare dinner (usually)
3 or 4 evenings a week, full time kitchen duty most weekends, help with laundry...etc
for example today...
i was up at 530 made coffee, prepared lunches for 2 adults, put away clean dishes, cleaned out the frig(been needing to do that for a couple weeks) i changed out the
laundry and folded a few things, got my dinner plans together, played a few games
of words with friends, had my 3 cup coffee limit played here in the forums off and
on since about 6ish and found an extra few min to answer your post.
shower time now...(if you want to know a minute by minute account of my day), tuesday
is usually my own laundry day, then i will be making some lunch for my grands who
are sleeping in while they are out of school for the summer.
please dont quote me for magpie, she is weird, obsessed, and has a tendency to
stalk certain folks here. she really creeps me out.
btw...i do know she can read me offline, and others will quote me for her and she
probly has at least one fake profile...all the more creeeeepy!!!
got any more questions for me??? ill be happy to answer if i can. im fairly open and
totally honest here and in real life. and mostly i dont care what others think.

Vetting Donald Trump: What You Need To Know
Posted on June 16, 2015
- Donald Trump gave over $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation. Despite the fact that he openly criticizes the foundation and the Clinton’s lack of transparency regarding it. Now we don’t have the exact numbers, we only know that his contributions number over $100,000 and under $250,000. Also this may be a good time to note that he personally supported Hillary Clinton’s senate campaign. Just had to give you a heads up, you know, because I’m a “RINOz” and all.
– Over the years, he has consistently supported Democrats over Republicans. Since 1990, Trump has given $541,650 to Democrats—more than he gave to Republicans over the same period of time. Kind of odd for someone who claims to be such a gung ho Republican these days, wouldn’t you say?
– In 2008, Donald Trump supported Obama’s campaign. This one is pretty self-explanatory, but here’s a quote from 2011 for good measure. “I was his biggest cheerleader,” “If you go back three years, I’m saying, ‘Do a great job.’ … ” “I thought he was a positive person, always,”
– Trump has switched parties at least five times since the 1980s. Three times since 2001. Trump is a new kind of politician. He’s what the progressives call “party-fluid.”
– His disgusting abuse of government power/eminent domain. Michelle Malkin has covered this extensively. Here’s the thing, with Trump this isn’t a one-time thing. It’s seemingly an integral part of his business model. In 1997, he even went as far as to use eminent domain to try and evict an elderly widow—so that he could build a limousine parking lot. I hate to play identity politics here but… what a d*ck.
– Donald Trump, in 2000 supported gun control, abortion, higher taxes and socialized healthcare. Do I… Do I really need to add anything here?
– Donald Trump Stood against Pro-1st amendment Conservatives when facing radical Islam. Yep, Trump even went as far as to slam Pamela Gellar for her cartoon contest in Texas. Now, regardless of whether you think Pam Gellar’s event is tasteless, the woman faced violence from radical Islam. I don’t know a single, self-respecting Conservative who deemed it appropriate to slam her, standing arm-in-arm with angry Islamists. Not one. Unless you count Trump?
– He wants Oprah Winfrey on his ticket. Yes, the same Oprah who supported Obama, called all of his critics out as racist and yes, the same Oprah who said that all racists were white, and that they “all need to die.” Welcome your new VP.
– Most importantly… his hair. Sorry, this is still LouderWithCrowder.com We had to bring this down a childish notch. On a serious note, can a man who won’t even reveal his true hairline truly be trusted as president? Hard questions. We ask them.
By the way, please do click on all those hyperlinks for yourself. Don’t take my word for it. Do your own research. You’ll find that everything there is in order. Now, with all of the evidence at hand, we’re left with two possible conclusions. Either…
A) Donald Trump suffers from a severe split-personality disorder. Or…
B) Donald Trump is a fraud. A man devoid of principles who bases all of his decisions on the winds of political expediency.
At best, he’s a bold, entertaining voice of opposition. At worst, he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Don’t be fooled. Do your research.

Michelle Obama UK visit: 'When I look at young British Muslim women, I see myself"
In saying this, Michelle Obama is implying that both she and the Muslim girls she is addressing face oppression, discrimination, and disadvantage. She is, in other words, advancing the false Muslims-as-victims narrative that Islamic advocacy groups such as Hamas-CAIR work so hard to cultivate in the U.S. She does not, of course, address the fact that the primary source of the oppression and discrimination that these Muslim girls face and will face in the future is their own families -- primarily their fathers and husbands. Michelle Obama could have called upon these girls to reject the Sharia misogyny that devalues women's testimony and inheritance rights, reduces women to commodity status via polygamy, sanctions their beating, and makes them vulnerable to genital mutilation and honor killing. But she didn't dare do that.
Michelle sees herself in the gender apartheid under Islamic law? Was Michelle held down by her mother and other female relatives while they cut her clitoris off? The UK's "failure to stop FGM is a ‘national scandal’, There have been 170,000 victims and no prosecutions until this year. What about ?#?BringBackOurClits? - read the est here..... http://pamelageller.com/?p=67735

'The heart of the matter is not guns, the heart of the matter is the heart'
"We have succumbed to the purveyors of division in all those different categories including race."
“You know, we have a war on women, race wars, income wars, age wars, religious wars, anything you could imagine, we have a war on it. And we’re giving people a license to hate people who disagree with them. Well, I hope that we, the American people, can come to the understanding that we are not each other’s enemies. The enemies are those who are stoking the flames of division, trying to divide us into every category and weakening us as a society.”
Dr. Ben Carson

While we pray for the families of the victims of the Charleston shootings, President Obama is playing gun control politics.. and putting out misinformation.

Federal debt is at $18 trillion. Obama's responsible for $7 trillion of that. New CBO report says debt is growing $3.3 billion every day. We'd be better off trusting our finances to the drunken sailors. #tb

Obama nailed for illegals murdering Americans
Senators demand answers on criminal-alien releases after 121 killed
Leo Hohmann
Murder of 121 Americans laid at Obama's feet
Before President Obama uses the tragic murder of nine people in a Charleston church to sell the idea of changing the Second Amendment, he should address the preventable murders of these 121 Americans.
All are dead because of something he refused to do -- obey a law already on the books.
Finally, a few Republicans have found the backbone to call him out ...
President Obama is catching heat from two U.S. senators for releasing violent criminals onto the streets who then went on to murder 121 Americans between 2010 and 2014.
And there are new concerns about the possibility of violent crimes being committed by the nearly 30,000 illegal Cuban immigrants who are walking U.S. streets with criminal records.

Please Stop Talking about Donald Trump
DumpTrumpTalking about Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is about as useful as discussing Lincoln Chafee’s or George Pataki’s ambitions for the White House — except those two actually held elected office at one point. Yet, if you’re a ‘name’ in America, you can be a politician.
Ok, ok, it’s a bit rich (pun intended) to request that the media stop discussing Donald Trump and then write an article about the man. But, let’s make this the final nail in the Donald’s coffin.
Below are a few lines from Trump’s announcement:
On terrorism: “Islamic terrorism is eating large portions of the Mideast. They’ve become rich. I’m in competition with them.”
On the future of the Affordable Care Act: “Remember, Obamacare really kicks in in ‘16. 2016. Obama’s gonna be out playing golf. He might even be on one of my courses. I would invite him, I actually would say it. I have the best courses in the world so I’d say, you know what if he wants to. I have one right next to the White House. Right on the Potomac. If he’d like to play, that’s fine. In fact, I’d love him to leave early and play.”
On John Kerry and the Iran nuclear talks: “I will stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. And we won’t be using a man like Secretary Kerry that has absolutely no concept of negotiation, who’s making a horrible and laughable deal, who’s just being tapped along as they make weapons right now and then goes into a bicycle race at 72-years-old and falls and breaks his leg. I won’t be doing that. And I promise, I will never be in a bicycle race — that I can tell you.”
Does any of this make sense? No.
We all know that politics is a circus and all circuses are filled with clowns that are fun to laugh at. This is nothing new. The problem is that Donald Trump is getting equal — if not more — coverage than actual politicians. Why? Because he is a prime beach ball to knock around for talking heads on the Right and Left. Look at the gleeful way Jon Stewart and Stephan Colbert are celebrating the announcement, and look at the defense Fox News and IJ Review give to the real-estate mogul. Add to that list the media-hungry celebs, like Cher, Sarah Palin, and Russell Simmons, who feel the need to weigh in.
Reactions from actual politicians and pundits, on the other hand, have spanned everything from eye-rolling to outright horror at Trump’s declared candidacy. See Charles Krauthammer and George Will‘s reactions. However, their opinions fall to the wayside. After all, Trump has connections to right-leaning (as Fox & Friends contributor) and left-leaning media (NBC’s The Apprentice) — and clowns get ratings.
So should voters take Trump’s campaign seriously? No. Why? Because any GOP candidate that refers to Mexicans as “rapists” and “murderers” (when Republicans are so desperately hoping to perform better with Hispanic voters), has an NBC show set for production in September, and has to pay for “supporters,” is no candidate at all. Instead, he is a distraction that should be collectively ignored.
