i started with a table saw,drill-bits,lathe to turn, watch tv shows american woodworkers.
in tables,coffee tables,gun cabinets,china cabinets,microwave stands,pc stands,shelves, candle holders,picture frames,clocks, nix-naks like with a country theme,may want to get into a little painting with craft paints,like little hearts,pieces that look like apples and put twine 12" long
at one time i made all the furniture in my house..
made a lot of stuff that looked like home inter
get some books, mags and ask some girls what they like.
once u start makin stuff word will get out,set up at craft shows,,
u have people comin to u wanting stuff made, make some extra stuff that are good sellers
theres always,e-bay craigslist, facebook, local craft shows, flee markets, put stuff on consignments, even gas stations, with the holidays comin up make theme stuff
as ur skills get better so will ur business ,,there's a lot of video's to watch..
a lot of woodworker sites..and most of them have a place to sell ur stuff, links,so on

if you're just starting out I would buy a jigsaw, hand carving tools, and a dremel. They go a long way and create great projects for a beginner.

I am not starting out. I been doing woodworking all my life , on and off, missing some years every now and then. As for the tools, the only thing I do not have is a dust collector and a big planer, the on that you put big long wood in to make the sides nice and smooth. But for those two and probable some more, I am going to wait till I get my own place. I am staying at my youngest sister till my divorce is done and final. But I was just wondering to see if there was any body to look at there work and get pointers from and maybe work on some projects like in groups.

Well....after reading posts from you guys, maybe I should get off now! I feel so inferior! LOL!!! I do country wood crafts such as decorations for the home- like
plaques, signs, benches & such. I don't need a lot in the way of tools for that. A scroll saw, lathe, sander & some small hand tools. I have more money invested in paints. I really enjoy what I do. It seems to bring me peace.
