Why do woman like firefighters so much?
I work with firemen on my job in law enforcement, I see nothing appealing about them. If I date a uniform I rather it be military...I don't date cops or firemen or medics. Seen so much dishonesty in their relationships to start one with one.

Firemen get the job done. Putting out fires is what they do. I've had some hotness put to rest a few times by a good fireman! Professionally

As a member of the industry, most medics care more about their job then any relationship, most fireman are crazy and may seem unfaithful but are. Don't know anything about cops. And military relationships are strained.

'Firefighters' seem to come up alot in this forum. I've heard they are awesome husbands, great fathers...mind you this is a generalization, but the sources are reliable.
I've thought about it.
Any one that can stand back, look at a blazing fire as big as God....then go into it!

MEN are not the only sex which wear uniforms.
MEN are not the only ones which are firefighters.
WOMEN do 'one hell of a good job' fulfilling their responsibilities in job classifications which were once thought of as male oriented employment opportunities.

Military men in uniform are hot, Firefighters are hot.
Both because their jobs require them to stay physically fit.
They're well trained in what they do meaning they are disciplined and that translates into respect.
And more importantly dangerous jobs are sexy. It's the romance factor that if a man is willing to risk his life for their job they're willing to risk it for you. The hero!

Most women don't think that way when i am in my uniform. Especially when it is smeared with grease, dirt, and smells like diesel fuel. Throw a little sweat into the mix, and for some strange reason, they walk away from me.

Last time I visited this group, there was an active thread asking why women wouldn't date firemen. I guess it's all a matter of personal experience.
Guessing, I'd say it's that firemen are typically (or at least, give the impression of being) strong, brave and selfless. They've chosen to make a career of putting other people first, which seems to say a lot about their character. That's a superficial assessment, of course--surely not true for every person in the profession. But it bodes well.

I think its the total ability to run to our rescue. Women desire a man to protect them. We want a strong man who can take on all odds, run into the burning building when needed, and says "I'll come for you no matter what."
Its instinctual and deep. We just can't help ourselves, but you're right it does exist. I think this is why firefighters rule in this category above all others.

IM not quit sure why woman like us firefighters. I have been a woodland firefighter for ths last 11 years and all we do is go into places most people run away from it's nothing real special we are just doing a job that most would not

Plus often times uniform positions they went through training to build confidence as a person, which is always attractive.
