I have 2 dwarf apple trees in my back yard. I chose dwarf trees to save on space. Any drawbacks to them over standard size fruit trees? Your opinion is appreciated.

dwarf trees are always a good idea with limited space, the fruits are full size usually and less than regular trees,

Dwart trees have grafte
d roots that make the trees bare quicker. A standard tree takes longer

I live here in WA. all apple country. YES dwarf apple trees are very good, and are used here the most, but only if they have been grafted to a good apple variety, remember you need two varieties so they can cross pollination with one another ( IE: one red or red variety and one golden variety) Check with your tree sales person or local University AG-Extension dept. for INFO. or do a web search on apple cross pollination subject.
Here in my farm country a lot of apple orchardests use a few inter plantings of " Crab Apples " they are very good pollinators.
