There should be "qualifiers" (as in restrictions) placed against women fighters simply because of their gender. That is prejudicial, and discriminatory.

I'm a huge supporter of women's MMA. I was personally advocating the addition of a women's division within the UFC for more than a year before it became a reality. I've been a big fan of MMA and the UFC since 2005. I believe mixed martial arts is the most inclusive sport in the world merging all social classes, nationalities, and now both genders. I think fighters like Ronda Rousey will represent women's MMA and the UFC with pride and efficiency. In conclusion I look forward to seeing some great battles in the women's division on the future UFC fight cards.

Why not? Some women are just as skilled as fighting as men are. Some people are so caught up in being so politically correct about who should fight and who should not fight that they lose sight of the fighting talent that's there, right in from of their faces. It almost comes off as some people so chauvinist and egotistical that they fail to get past this. Based on some fights I've seen, some fights can easily be match of the year if promoted correctly......gamer

Most definitely, some of the World's best technicians of the sport are women. The sport is about having heart and the ladies bring it.
Heart, motivation, as well as tactical and strategical skills as to how to strike and when to apply the submission holds. Some of my favorite MMA fighters are female to the technical, tactical, and constantly out-thinking their opponent that allows them to get the upper hand within fights which quite frankly fascinates me every time I watch it. I love technicality and submissions is MMA fights.....gamer
