Hey Photo...Do you remember this case about the BLACK George Zimmerman?
Of course not, because there was no uproar by whites claiming Mr. Scott had a hero complex. The trial was treated as a tragic situation that a young man brought upon himself by turning to violence.
The media picks and chooses which stories to run; we heard about Zimmerman for a year.
But little was ever said about the 400 people and a chief of police that were killed by the guns that were supplied by OUR GOVERNMENT to Mexican cartels in Operation: Fast & Furious.
Zimmerman/Operation Fast & Furious. Which was the more important story that deserved a years worth of reporting?

Smart dad. Kid needs to get off his butt and experience life and learn to grow into a responsible adult that doesn't rely on government to take over his parenting when his parents kick him out of the house. Killing the "X-Box" was the kind of gift a parent gives a child that keeps on giving for a lifetime.

Some signage is missing. There should be signs for Benghazi, the IRS, NSA, Fast and Furious, wiretapping news agencies, various executive orders and imperial decrees, ObummerCare, immigration abuses, and yes, Phil Robertson, too!

Absolutely. It would be an honor to protect them from crazies like liberals. Every mass shooting that has occurred in the USA was perpetrated by a liberal. Nuff said.

The difference between liberals and everyone else is that liberals never grow up to be responsible self sufficient adults capable of making rational decisions and being truly independent. Liberals need a master of some kind to tell them what to do and how to live.

Real people don't. They can take care of themselves and their own just fine and do not need anyone to do it for them. They are independent and free.

Liberals are afflicted with a clinical mental disorder that makes it impossible for them recognize reality, see life logically as rational adults, or to live independently without parenting and supervision.

What liberal minded people don't understand is that everyone else is not so afflicted and can do just fine without all that crap and that real people are passionate about being responsible and independent while enjoying their God given rights to personal individual liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness.

Liberals don't get it because they can't. They are not capable of it. They are brain damaged.

It's tragic that so many people in the U.S. die by handgun violence every year. But a couple points to consider:

Only a very small percentage of gun crimes are committed with a legally purchased gun that was not stolen. The vast majority comes from stolen or illegally purchased guns.

A vast majority of gun crimes are committed in urban, economically depressed areas.

The tighter the gun laws in a certain area, the higher the violent crime rate becomes in those areas.

You're not going to stop criminals from getting guns, just the same as you're not going to stop drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc. If there is a demand, some black market will find a way to fulfill it.

Law abiding citizens deserve the right to protect themselves.

Exactly. Take a peek at Chicago. It has among the most draconian gun laws in the country and they can't seem to figure out a way to keep black teenaged kids from killing each other by the hundreds with illegal handguns (note: one must be 21 years old to own a handgun legally). It's not the tool, it's the operator.

Quote from cupocheer:

That's rather optimistic. Obama is still president, Obamacare is looming, the economy is stressed, illegal immigrants are seeing more rights and political power than US citizens, inflation is rising ever faster, several new taxes are set to go into effect, the deficit and debt of our children and grandchildren, and theirs continues to rise, and our troops are still overseas fighting battles that cannot be won. What is there to be so happy and optimistic about?

The only bright spot is next November when we have general elections. Perhaps intelligent, responsible people can make a difference and elect new leadership so that 2015 is better and can start to turn things back around?

Not a Republican, not a Democrat, I just want my country back!

Liberals make spreading misunderstanding and deception simple. They do it with senseless cartoons that spread their particularly obvious childishly simplistic rhetoric and misleading propaganda. Devoid of the ability to reason in a rational way creating simple pictures adorned with ridiculous ideas in the form of senseless cartoons are a tool they try to use to spread their irrational ideas.

They express a clinginess to the condition that makes them completely incapable of understanding the basic concepts of personal responsibility and individual freedom. The idea of having an original thought is impossibly elusive for them. They are at best noisy distractions patiently patted gently on the head so they feel reassured as we ignore their ramblings. Treating them that way helps reduce the number and intensity of the childlike tantrums they throw when confronted with their madness.

The only thing they are effective at doing is stirring sympathetic emotions that have no effect on rational people that have sympathy for anyone so badly in need of supervision by their betters. They are immature children that never grow up to enjoy the freedom and joy of becoming reasoned, rational adults.

It would be very sad to waste an intellect that might develop into a rational mind, but to do so such ability must exist in the first place. Happily liberals don't have rational minds, so we can take comfort in knowing that nothing is actually wasted at all.

More importantly than guns before anyone is allowed to do anything as important as to participate in the selection our leaders in order to vote they should prove that they are responsible, rational adults that have a knowledge and understanding of the US Constitution, our laws, civics, economics, American History and society, and government operations while having skin in the game (e.g. be a taxpayer not a freeloader). Allowing destitute, needy, lazy ignorant and foolish people to paricipate in deciding who runs the country is even less responsible than making excuses to limit and abridge a fundamental established right like the Second Ammendment.

The only people that cannot see how rediculously silly liberals are, are liberals.

Possession of guns is a RIGHT secured, and insured, by the United States Constitution.

Possessing guns is not a Conservative, Liberal, or Independent thing.

It is a RIGHT to bear arms.

I will keep my guns, tyvm -- and you can continue to hope when your arse needs bailing out of a bad situation where having a gun is the determining factor for a positive outcome -- that I will be willing and able to have the firepower to protect you.

Your RIGHT not to bear arms SHALL NOT infringe on MY RIGHT to bear arms.

Simple as that!

And I will hope that the serial number is registered. So that if your "GUN" is used to cause harm, The person harmed may sue you for not taking proper security of your weapon.

In the case the weapon serial number is not registered, the injured party should be able to sue the Maker/seller to regain their "Wholeness."

It should not be up to the individual "Taxpayer" to foot the hospital bills for your desire to feel "Safe!"

It was about 2 hours of classroom before heading to the range. a Springfield XD 45 and a standard 9mm glock. Hope I spelled those right, pretty sure I did!

Huge recoil from the 45, lots of power.

And yes it was a certified instructor with my guy pal rooting me on.

Never tell a boyfriend what your fears are. He may want to do something about it

Next fear to conquer is the horse but have to wait till weather is more forgiving. As long as I don't have to do the gun and the horse at the same time I am convinced I will live.

Now I am eligible for my CPL.

Did well on the target outline, 90% in the head and heart range.

Hope I never have to do this in real life but it is good to have some familiarity with a gun should I ever have to.
