That is something that I have been considering. It would require buying an expensive camera though.

Why would the camera have to be expensive? Unless you were going into business straight. I mean when you learn to drive you don't start off in a corvette do you?

I been using the Canon 20D since 2005. I have 2 of the bodies and use a Canon EF 28-300mm 1:3.5-5.6 L USM IS and a Canon EF 17-40 mm 1:4 L USM lenses. I have photographed 570 covered bridges just in the State of Pennsylvania and have another 19 give or take to go. What is the most enjoyable is fidning what is in this State. Petting zoos, amusement parks that I did not know existed. Small towns I would not have taken time to visit. All the pleasant people who took the time to build these bridges on their properties. Thousands of wildlife photos and of nature. Sunsets. I am taking on a waterfall journey just within the State of PA as it has the most water of all 50 States. No wonder we had over 1500 covered bridges at one time. We are down to under 225 and they are either being shut down or let go and deteriating. It will be interesting to find as many waterfalls as i can. I know a lot of people won;t tell where they are. With some good hikes, I hope to find and photograph them.

i use the throw away cameras because that is all i can afford right now but i like going to cemeteries and taking pictures of family headstones in cemeteries.the dates and information on the headstones hold clues for genealogists.

Thank you for chronicling area cemeteries. All genealogists appreciate and share their findings. I've done a few too. Many old stones are deteriorating and become hard to read, break,... Then there are vandals that break stones for kicks. Some vandals broke my great grandparent's stone a couple of years ago.
I include the photos of stones in my gen work whenever possible. They are a wealth if info.

I was an Air Force Photog....back in the '70's....
I've got dozens of cool stories...but none better than
My 1st chance to see a military aerobatic team...
The Blue Angels
Everyone from the lab was there....including our ~Hot-Shot~ NCOIC who, Naturally ,
was shooting from The Control Tower ...with his fancy-named-$$$-gear and motor-drive...etc...
The next day, after I finished developing everyones slides...
We had a ~Lab Slide-Show~ for everyone to show off their best-10!!
It's hard to describe how fast an A-4 Skyhawk can climb...
Straight Up...
under full-power...
while CorkScrewing, too!!
But I got a ~Standing O~ for squeezing-off 8 perfectly-framed shots... in just a hair over
3 seconds...
_Hand-held_!

Many members like photography ... the problem is when they like someone elses better than they like their own.
