I get what you're sayin, but in the tri citu area(Bloomington, Edina, Richfield), I've not found a single female worth my time so to speak.
I didn't even find out how vindictive and evil some women could be until I moved here...
You are in the wrong area. That is a very expensive, effluent area. You will only find the well to do. The ex has relatives in that area; they are snobbish, to say it politely.

I guess it depends where in MN you live. I tend to think that the MSP area is incredibly rude, generally speaking of course. But then again I'm not a fan of big cities, that's why I lived in Fargo-Moorhead for 20 years!
Agree with you 100%! Fargo - Moorhead people are so much nicer!!

It must have been the chamber of commerce that coined the phrase
" Minnesota nice " or maybe that was there idea of a joke. Ha ha fly over land is just that, no good reason To stop. Like a tax commissioner on the radio said when asked why are taxed so high here, " we prefer to think of our state as a high value state, the people here demand high quality state services and it takes money to fulfill their wishes". Funny thing, I moved to MN four years ago, and I regret it. At least when it comes to dating. It's like they know you're an outsider, and they totally pass you up because of it. Four years single has caused me to hate this place.
I am from cali and been in Minnesota for a while now and the men and women act the same. However I've learned that if you stop looking for someone who looks great and start looking at people who have a good heart. You just might find a great person inside and outside.

I'm thinking about moving up to the Minnesota Area. After reading this post I have seconds doubts, but I guess only a few people even use this site. Oh well I guess I don't know of a better state that has large shopping malls, great camping areas, lots of lakes to fish, great popular bands that come through the area and hopefully some good jobs too! Sure, shoveling more snow isn't going to be fun, but at least it's not going to be 110 degrees like down south.

Large mall {1) in bloomington. Snow 6 to 7 months of the year. Temps do get into the 90's in summer and can be 30 to 50 below 0 in winter. The only state that has more lakes than here is Texas. Most in Texas are man made. If you live out where I live, there is nothing open after 10pm till 6am. There are no gas stations or anything else open from here for over 100 miles,except truck stop at Clara City.
So come on up, oh and good luck on a job, unless you live in the big cities.

Been single for nearly a year now and wondering if I should give up. I feel like women in the MSP area are very superficial and seem to want a man whose got everything already set before them before they even turn 30. I'm not saying that every woman is like this, but it sure is starting to feel that way. I work full time, pay my bills, live on my own, and put food on my table. I chose to pay my student debt down faster by not having a car, but in turn sold it to my parents to help them with a situation. I never thought that would make me seem like a bum, but what do I know? Apologies for the rant thrown in, but its just been frustrating is all

Going on 9 months now since my last relationship ended. Been on a couple of dates since the last post, but so far nothing beyond that. I have a potential third date with someone I really like, but she's been busy with life as of late. I make the effort on my part to make things fun and exciting and trying tl get to know my date, but I feel the women I date don't give back the same effort I do. This is besides the one girl I have been on multiple dates with as she has done a lot to try to make something happen.
