Yes, that how I did it back on Maryland farm. Stuff just sits on the top of arid
AZ soil.

I've never dug of arrow heads but I did get into flintknaping a few years ago. The problem was heat treating the actual flint once I found it. I usually just used the bottom of beer bottles pretty time consuming, but it cleared my head.
