Perhaps not a direct choice to just be homeless, but an indirect choice to do drugs, mooch off of the government or society.
I live close to Dallas. There are a lot of bums here. I used to be as ignorant like you when I was in my early teens.
I felt that it was my duty to help someone if I was gainfully employed so I helped a homeless guy out by giving him a 10.00.
In the back of my mind something did not feel right because he got up from his blanket immediately and started walking.
I followed him to a fu-king bar. He went to a bar stool, gleefully hoped on it, greated the bartender BY NAME and ordered a cold beer. This is when I decided, never again.
I will give to a church, but I will not enable a lazy a$$ bum. If everyone gave that foul man 10.00 he would kill himself with alcohol.
Now I say shame on you for being foolish with your money. If everyone gives a bum their hard earned money like you then then they have no reason to get a job only to make less.
Ok , you gave the guy $10... he went to a bar , a bar that serves food I would presume... but you wont tell us the truth on that one so I'm saying yes it was..
Sure the guy most likely knows the bartender by name , cause he most likely eats there when he has a few dollars in his hand.... and yes , he most likely ordered a beer while waiting for the meal that he could afford with the remaining change from the 10 dollars that you gave to him , but you didn't see that because you walked away mad... why didnt you walk in there and sit with him for a few minutes and talk with him ... dont say you were in a hurry either , you were just too pissed off about giving someone enough to get by on for a few short moments of that mans day.... if you were that hell bent over 10 bucks , you should have just gone in and kicked his a** and took the remaing change back... I bet you would have felt a whole lot better than... if it was me , and I have done it here in Arizona , I wouldnt give a f**k if he drank the whole $10 , then again I wouldnt have played I spy either , Iwouldnt give it a second thot about what he did with that money , its already gone outta my hands anyway... i would have went on knowing somehow I made a less fortunate persons day last just a bit longer ... who knows , you could have gone home to your nice luxury house , turned on your local news and find out a homeless man was killed in a robbery attempt while eating a meal from the money of a good sumaritan he received just moments before the shooting , according to witnesses police say..... I BET YOU WOULD HAVE FELT REAL GOOD ABOUT THAT THEN....

There is nothing wrong about sleeping with a homeless chick, nor taking her home. However he might have tried getting to know her better first which would have saved some hard feelings on both parts.
I've been homeless, it's not fun. Been rich too, there the Gov just takes all of your money hoping you will become homeless again, not fun either. Homeless = powerless. And yes there are a lot of homeless that are druggies. Interesting how many of them leave the drugs when they have a job and hope.

So me and a friend were at a Denny's finishing up a late lunch. When we left there was a cute young homeless woman getting in to the garbage at the Denny's.
He said he wanted to talk to her and motioned for me to follow. I did and we had a conversation about how some people are having hard times.
The next thing out of his mouth surprised me. He asked the homeless chick home with him !?
I am not one to co-ck block, but I am not sure this is a good idea. A good percentage of the time people that are homeless are that way for a reason.
When I caught up with him later I asked him how it went. He said that the sex was good, but the woman had a violent temper when he told her to leave and did not think he would be seeing her again until she took some anger management classes.
I wanted to see what you guys think about this.
Sounds like your friend has some really low standards!

Sorry Carbon , I see it all too often on a daily basis out here , and its a sad thing to see what the true homeless have to do and how they struggle to survive .... some of my friends and I had the opportunity to breifly know someone like that , a Viet Nam War Veteran , and there are many like him and they come from all different situations .. the fella we knew breifly was runned down by a car which ran a red light , while he was pushing his grociery cart of personal stuff acoss the street.... he had nothing , just that cart... turns out an illegal resident hit him....killed him..

Not all homeless people are filthy. Some people lose their jobs and everything and live on the streets more or less, go to shelters once in a while, or often, take showers, etc.
They're not all full of stds either.
