I got a 97 civic 1.6 sohc manual that I'm starting to build I'm wanting to do all motor no nos any ideas how to gain a lil bit of a boost in power for real cheap

I got a 97 civic 1.6 sohc manual that I'm starting to build I'm wanting to do all motor no nos any ideas how to gain a lil bit of a boost in power for real cheap
After the usual bolt on parts, massage the head and add a mild cam. Resist the urge to buy "stage 3" crap. Stay mild and enjoy your ride.

. Good call, man. I hate when people make a car undriveable on the street because they go "full race" on everything. Or a stockish car with a stage 4 springless hub clutch and a 3" exhaust...

Ive come to love those kids. They usually end up paying me to install shit twice when they finally wise up to what I told them from the start.

I have a stage 3 clutch in one of my street cars, but it doubles as my backup auto-x car. She requires a little finesse to drive

And probably because you're putting out stage three torque. Which requires more than an intake and HIDs.

I do very much hate the assumptions that come with owning an import. Being a sport bike owner is even worse. Everyone (police included) just assumes youre gonna wheelie through a crowded freeway at 90 MPH just because they see it so often. Its frustrating. You can own something Japanese and NOT be a douche.

I've learned that cops turn the other way when it comes to aggressive sounding exhausts on muscle cars or sports cars, but a turbocharged 4 cylinder car with a legitimate performance exhaust are constantly harassed and ticketed.

EF is old school... it would be easier with an ek or eg. But I prefer the ek. I had an eg and I put an ek front on it.... it looked clean

Im currently working on an 89' ford festiva that I just pulled out the stock 1.3 and dropped a JDM mazda 323 1.6L sohc into it. Theres a place out in atlanta GA that imports motors, transmissons and entire assembled front clips directly from japan with pretty low miles on em.
A 1.6 isnt much but in a small car like a festiva, its just about all the motor you need for it. Though a 1.8 from a miata was an option I debated.

I need to get another S13. Had an SR20DET in it. Ended up trading it for a Subaru Legacy Wagon.
Always took a lot of flack for not turbo-charging it into oblivion, tuning for gas mileage instead.

Just race a hatch had k20 type r turbo as well what the owner said. But i still won not to many guys out there can beat me accept like a modded Gtr or something crazy in that nature. But i like all cars man myself i own both V8 and 4cycl car my v8 is a twin turbo cam srt8 (tune) on E85 at the moment. An a 93 nissan ser (Sr20vet) motor upgraded turbo built motor tune on pump gas 91
