Just don't tell me what it is until AFTER I've eaten it!!

I'm from California originally so there are fantastic Mexican restaurants that are very authentic. One had excellent Menudo soup with hominy. Oh my god it was amazing. It also had the inexplicable ability to cure, or at least lessen the severity of even the worst hangovers. They would give you dry oregano seasoning to put into it.

I want to catch the critters myself and eat them, no different to me than fish, duck, or venison. Crickets are good too btw. I prefer catching my own but the ones in the cans at the better food stores aren't too bad but they are sauced as all get-out. Both creatures are wonderful on the grill as long as they are not overcooked. And don't eat 'em plain, put them in a stir fry or something and you will never notice what you are eating anyway. Really, "gross" is in the eye of the beholder. We Westerners brought up on beef, pork, and chicken have been brainwashed into thinking that any other protein source is sub-par. I'll tell you what is sub-par: Chicken McFreakingNuggets. Now that is sub-par "food" and what I truly consider to be "gross". "Garbage" might be a better descriptor. I wouldn't feed McDonalds food to my dog, let alone eat that crap myself.
