I'm mostly into fantasy, mystery and comedy.

Some of my favorite authors are Janet Evanovich, Patricia Briggs, Charlaine Harris, Ann Rice, Meg Cabot, Patrick Rothfuss & Patricia Cornwell.

I'm willing to try new authors but I would like to stick to what I enjoy. I have read some biographies of famous people but not really into reality books. Any new ideas would be appreciated.

If you like true crime, I recommend Ann Rule's books. If you like old-fashioned detective stories, I recommend Erle Stanley Gardner and A. A. Fair (actually, Gardner and Fair are the same person--for some reason he sometimes used his real name Gardner and sometimes his pen name Fair--to me, the books written under the name Fair are the better ones).

Try the Wool series (they're Ebooks). They're really good and cheap too. Hope you have an eReader.

I just finished reading a great book entitled "The Language of Flowers" by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. The Language of Flowers, Vanessa Diffenbaugh's mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable young woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past.

Hi almost finished with a great book---Hold Tight by Harlan Coben It is very hard to put it down as it is so intriguing! Lots of characters , sometimes hard to keep them in order, but well worth the read..Have read many of his books and he knows how to keep the reader interested. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Can't wait to get back to it!! Kathy It's a mystery by the way.

Have you tried any of Terry Goodkind's work? Stupendous, it is! Its fairly long like The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Goodkind's series The Sword of Truth is really good. The first book is Wizard's First Rule.
I see you like Patricia Briggs. You might like Sharon Sala. She has two books out: the Healer and the Warrior.
There is also Lydia Dare, if you are into a bit more romancy than Briggs. Dare has writen a trilogy of loving werewolves. The first is A Certain Wolfish Charm. She has also writen some Vampire novels. One of them is It Happened One Bite, however read the werewolf ones first. All her books are connected.
For the last, Barb & J.C. Hendee have writen Dhampir, half vamp, half human. Very good series. Slow read though.
Hope this helps!

Necromancer or anything else by William Gibson might appeal to you...a bit SF, but edgy, engaging, pertinent and ahead of their time.
