CON! I'm a strong believer that fracking is wrong in so many levels its a shame to see this happening in people's back yards and just out in the world in general. Its dangerous if it don't stop lot's of people are going to get sick.Worse of it all the earth is being killed its self. Just dont settle right with me that these Fat Cat's think of nothing with out a care in the world but thin again why would they.
What's your thought on it??

I am against it. I don't care what they say, it pollutes the water table, which is the ultimate source of all our water.

Well on the plus side,
the oil companies have figured out what to do with all that extra water from the "Non existent" global warming!!
Their doing us a favor by putting it underground!!
And by adding all those Toxic poisons, We finally have a way of disposing all the coal trailing's from the coal fired furnaces!!
Don't worry it won't come back up until 2056, and I'll be long gone by then!!

Well .... if every time I bent over I fracked I would be against it.
But since there is a "suspension" in the fracking use of fracking I don't have a fracking opinion on the subject.

I do believe that there is a moritorium in place regarding fracking but I will have to do more research to know for sure.

In Texas in both east Texas and the Permian basin (west) they've found enough oil via fracking to make the Middle East oil look like a drip.

When the clean water is diminished, the oil is plentiful and the brewers know how to purify the polluted water as do the distilleries.
Therefore when water becomes scarce we can all drive to the bar and quench our thirst knowing that the next generation (born with FASD) will qualify for President of the United States and invade a country with faulty intelligence and flourishing arrogance.
Alberta, my home province, is equal to Texas in convictions of the ideology that global warming is a spoof.

One day we'll wake up and learn that all this unseen underground Gas is either a scheme to increase the gas stocks( bale and run.)
Or hugely overestimated and now all we have left to keep us warm is whale blubber!!
Of course by then the Oceans will be 30 feet higher and we will be speaking "Fish!!"

Was watching RT news:
Funny how controlled American news is bought and paid for!!
Anyway looks like Texas Oil/fracking country is experiencing minor case of flaming sink water and 3.6 level earthquakes in none quake prone areas.
Of course it can't be Caused by the "Horizontal" drilling or the 2000 pounds hydraulic pressure used to force the gas out!!
Of Course, oil/gas companies as always will take every precaution to insure you know nothing and the profit margin grows!!

Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking”, is the process of drilling and injecting fluid into the ground at a high pressure in order to fracture shale rocks to release natural gas inside.
There are more than 500,000 active natural gas wells in the US.
Each gas well requires an average of 400 tanker trucks to carry water and supplies to and from the site.
It takes 1-8 million gallons of water to complete each fracturing job.
The water brought in is mixed with sand and chemicals to create fracking fluid. Approximately 40,000 gallons of chemicals are used per fracturing.
Up to 600 chemicals are used in fracking fluid, including known carcinogens and toxins such as:
Lead
Uranium
Mercury
Ethylene Glycol
Radium
Methanol
Hydrochloric Acid
Formaldehyde
Down 10,000ft:
The fracking fluid is then pressure injected into the ground through a drilled pipeline.

18 times a well can be fracked.
72 Trillion gallons of water and 360 Billion gallons of chemicals needed to run our current gas wells.
Shale Fracturing:
The mixture reaches the end of the well where the high pressure causes the nearby shale rock to crack, creating fissures where natural gas flows into the well.
Contamination:
During this process, methane gas and toxic chemicals leach out from the system and contaminates nearby groundwater.
Methane concentrations are 17x higher in drinking water wells near fracturing sites than in normal wells.
Drinking Water:
Contaminated well water is used for dinking water for nearby cities and towns.
There have been over 1,000 documented cases of water contamination next to areas of gas drilling as well as cases of sensory, respiratory, and neurological damage due to ingested contaminated water.
Left Behind:
Only 30-50% of the fracturing fluid is recovered, the rest of the toxic fluid is left in the ground and is not biodegradable.
The waste fluid is left in open air pits to evaporate releasing harmful VOC's (volatile organic compounds) into the atomsphere, creating contaminated air, acid rain, and ground level ozone.
In the end, hydraulic fracking produces approximately 300,000 barrels of natural gas a day, but at the price of numerous environmental, saftey, and health hazards.
