I have highlighted my hair since before I met the man I'm currently dating. I've been letting it grow out and he has commented a couple times that I should get it highlighted again but at the same time will also comment at times that he likes it now and would like to see my natural hair color.
I'm gonna do what I want but which is grow it out, but have you ever colored or highlighted your hair just to please your man?

i once was requested by an ex to take my red hair blonde. i didn't feel comfortable stripping my hair of it's color so i bought a wig. which was a good thing because i wore it infront of him once on a date and later that night he told me that after seeing me blonde he much prefers my natural hair color. it's really up to the woman. what she feels comfortable doing. i have asked men to shave their mustaches before so i don't get offended if someone asks me to do something.

yes,  of course I would... as long as he's not asking for something too extreme. And besides I like having different looks, so it wouldn't bother me at all.

no,if he don't like my hair the color it is then he can just go find someone else . I color my hair the color I want it, for me to like and if others don't like it well to bad for them. I wouldn't try to change him say he has a old grandpa beard when I am dating him and I tell him I don't like it and to shave it, I am either not going to want to date him at all or if I do then I have to accept him the way he is..just like he better accept me the way I look and not try to make me into what he wants or thinks he wants..............

No I don't think I would color my hair for a man. If my natural look didn't already appeal to him prior, then he should have left well enough alone. Also in your situation, highlighting over time is very damaging. That would indicate to me that he probably prefers blondes so he's wanting you to move in that direction.

No, I wouldn't, because if he can't appreciate me because of my natural hair color, then he needs to book it fast !!  I'll only put highlights in my hair or dye it when I want to!!

I will not strip my hair the damage is not good for it. If he asks me let my hair go gray forget it I do not like looking like my man's mother. As for the color that is within reason sure not a problem. I started to go gray at 16 the day that I went to get groceries with my dad and the lady thought I was his wife was the day I stopped going shopping with him. My ex liked my gray hair so for awhile I went gray for him. Until the day someone thought I was his mother. Screw that I went and got it colored and have had it that way since.

i dyed my hair red and my former bf was always saying he likes darker red. soo i ended up dying it darker. but now i realize i shouldnt change for no guy. dying your hair makes women fake. ask him if he likes fake women, if he says no, then tell him to stop buggn u about getting highlights

Ive noticed that men tend to like women to look a certain way but out of naivete will claim that this look is "natural". For instance, most men don't understand makeup or cosmetics so they assume makeup is bright red lipstick and blue eyeshadow which is very off putting. But then if you show them a heavily made up model on the cover of a magazine wearing neutral shades and a pale lip, they will assume that she has no makeup or very little. So they tend to prefer makeup that doesn't appear to be makeup. That's been my experience.

I wouldn't do it just to please him.
Now if it was a color I had been thinking about doing and he said he liked it etc. Then probably.
I had an ex that tried to say I 'HAD' to go blonde. Like all over blonde. Yeah...no. Not gonna happen. I look odd with blonde hair....but with that said I have had purple hair.

I so agree, I love my natrual hair color but i do like to hilight it to show more of my red hilights,but I refuse to change it for him, if that`s whatcolor he like`s then yes he need`s to get with a gal that has the color he wants unlesd he wants to be the Master that tells his submissive or slave or pet what he likes and wants.

I have colored my hair since 28,was blessed with grandmothers early white.This past year took the dark out,and 75% natural white with 3 hihlights.A man that I use to see insisted I go back to dr brown.I'm 57 he is 67 total white.Said woman white, or blonde hilighted look hagered,and old.Handed him a mirror and said,well 80 looks good on you.

My husband asked me to He and my daughter both had black hair. So I dyed it black. I was a natural light blond. Made me look 10 yrs older Took forever to get that black colour out. I looked like a multi coloured gold fish ! I was pregant which made me feel even worse. I was so mad at him and myself for being so dumb ! ABSOLUTELY NO WAY EVER AGAIN

I color it for myself I like to change colors every 4 months might ask his opinion but I choose in the end. and for my roots showing or whatever, I keep that under control so, no ones say anything.

It's just hair you can cut it or let it grow, color it and if you don't like it color it different. Not a big deal, you can get fake hair if you don't want to make the commitment.

I have never experienced this as a problem from any man I have been with.I hope that I never do because then I would know that he wants me to be something of his own making! A man will pretty much have to except that when it comes to my hair....I make the call!
