pour a cup of gasoline in the hole, but wait till after dark, when they are all in the hole, and you can get them all with one shot, caution; do not light the gas. the fumes kills them. same thing works for yellow jackets.

Here is my recipe though do note callouses on hands, availability and blood sugar control are issues: confectioners sugar, coffee grounds/tea leaves, ground magnesium, ground calcium, ground calcium channel blockers, mint, ground multi-vitamins, soap.

Boiling water is safer for the environment. I also spread dry minute rice around my home. They eat it, drink water and explode.

I pour hot cooking oil into their holes. They never come back to that place again. My friend has a chicken on her property - it gets rid of ants for her.. My grandparents used to keep the ants and feed them by putting all sorts of scrap food on top of the nests. The ants stopped home then. They even put a snake they killed on one nest. The ants ate the snake back to its bones. Ants that have come inside the house can be removed by damping a tea towel and heating it in the microwave oven. Using gloves to pick it up every place the ants are on is wiped with this very hot cloth. Also wipe inside the microwave oven with this hot cloth. It cleans them easily. No ants come again. Some folks insist throwing a handful of lime on the ants nest works. To get rid of the nest completely after the ants are dead some sort of digging is the answer. I use a rotary hoe, it mucks up an ants nest easily. Folks in Brazil use an ant eater, they love ants. My cats and dogs show no interest at all.

The old way that works is to pour gass in the holes and around the ant mound-wait a few days and take a shovel and toil the soil-and see if you got them all.if not pour more gass on area.no need to burn.Gas is from the ground/earth and will absorb back to earth-and or evaporate in time.

Chicken pest control..is the best...and they are cute to look at..
I had chickens roaming around the yard..I NEVER HAD BUGS....and now..around 4 years later.still not so many bugs..
Im getting more chickens soon...before the bugs get too bad..YOU CAN ALSO KILL THEM WITH DISHSOAP...VINEGAR..AND WATER ETC..
I USE SALT TO KEEP SLUGS OUT OF THE DOG FOOD...AND SALT AROUND THE HOUSE TO KEEP ANTS OUT IF IM HAVING A PROBLEM.
One or two kept coming to my bathroom sink...I knew they were the Army Rangers of the ant world..seeking new food..new trails...so I killed the few that were there so they could not go back and tell the others...and I cleaned the counter top with pine sol one night..and Listerine the other as I had spilled some......they came...they died....I haven't seen them lately..

Gasoline works well! Without fire.
A fun and cool way to do it. Is to take a pot of molting led and dump very carefully down in the hole. The led travels through all the ants little tunnels burning them up killing them and after your pot of led is empty and the ant hole is filled with led. Let it cool down and harden up. Take a shovel and dig up the hardend led around the edges. It will be about a foot to a foot and a half deep. Pull it out of the ground. Take your water hose and wash off all the dirt. Once cleaned you will see a amazing sculpture of what was their tunnels.
