Texting is easy to be taken the wrong way or misconstrued so i prefer talking, unless it's a person i know well.....
this is true, especially when dating. I prefer texting over talking on the phone a lot of times because of my work and having to be on the phone all day but I still don't like dating someone who just wants to text and never talk on the phone, that's to the other extreme IMO.

I do my best work in person. Usually it goes text till comfortable enough to exchange digits. Then talk until comfortable enough to meet. I find that the time between text and talk is longer than between talk and meet.

talking is always better. can hear the inflections of the voice and laughter. texting is for work. it takes longer to text and I could say in a minute what it takes 5 min to text.

I would rather talk. you can tell a lot from a persons voice .
With all the technology social activities are pretty dead as far as face to face goes, but personally I'd much rather talk or meet in person for reasons as many already mention about more misunderstandings through text and the sorts. You really can tell a lot more about a person from their voice as well as facial expressions, but not a lot of people can read or even understand facial expressions.
Sometimes I just wish technology would fail everywhere because it's literally a plague on being social with others in the world and yes I am on here as well but unlike many out there I can live without my technology and live off the land. Not many now a days can because they're too reliant on that technology
