Ok, we can sit around here and make ourselves miserable. Or, celebrate the fact that we have no one to answer to.  Much like a 5 yr old running thru the house in their union suits yelling and laughing.  Of course with kids, ya gotta be a bit more subdued. Admit it, you can come home from work, strip to your underwear, grab a beer and sit and watch Cartoon Network without anyone saying boo about it. There are things that we can do now, that was taboo when we had a mate.

Yesterday, I wasted an entire day trying to make an old 3 wheeler run, that I traded a used dishwasher for. Had I a mate, I'd have been accused of bringing junk home, and I couldn't have spared the time farting with it. Now I can, and despite my best effort, it still doesn't run. Oh well, it felt good that I was doing something that I liked.

Yes we shouldn't dwell on the hardest parts of being single. But its nice to read other peoples posts and realize other people out there have similar problems. And that we are here in the divorce forum to help those feel better about the fact they are now divorced. And give people hope, courage and know life does go on after a break up/ divorce.
Everyone gets a bit lonely, even when they are sitting home alone in their underwear drinking a beer.

Ever since my divorce, I have been focusing on getting myself put back together so I can make a better girl happy. And now that I'm single I don't have to live up to her standards. I live up to my own. Like it or not, there are women that set nearly impossible standards for their guy to reach.

OOOOHHHH yes they do! You may as well decide right now to not get involved with those. Seems like, once to meet their goals, they'll raise the bar on you. Think of them like a slavedriver boss that expects more and more out of you. It's a no win situation.

Sure being single has its moments of sadness, but overall it does have great moments. The freedom to do as one pleases. Create a world all your own. Have own hobbies and interests without anyone complaining its interfering with their plans. Eat your favorite foods.
I am sure there is a ton of things that are positive about being single.
But overall i'd rather be in a relationship with someone who enjoys all of the things mentioned above or let's me experience those things without complaint.
