Night Owl reporting in.
Where I work, it's in a confidential area, so no cell phones, personal computers, or cameras. When work is slow, it makes for a long night with nothing to do except read or work on puzzle type books. Sat night/Sun am is almost always a no-work-to-do night, luckily it's a short 5-6 hours.
I LOVE working nights. Did it when the kids were young too.

Hi Eagle!
I don't mind working evenings... my typical shift is 3-11. I enjoy that. I thought I could handle overnights, but when I first started this job and I was doing nights mon-thurs, and it really wore me down. I am just not a night worker.

Hey Jen!
I did not enjoy working evenings. With the kids, it was hard once they were in school. At least with nights, I was available during the day and we did a lot of stuff together. I had a hard time adjusting to days and a normal schedule, plus my time was not my own, and conforming to others schedules was hard.
I find a certain peace and calm on nights, evenings were just plain crazy and wild, and days were a mad house with too many people. Thankfully, those days are over and I'm no longer working at those facilities.

Hi eaglemom and jen, I will be at work in about an hour. Sun night thru Thurs night. have done it for years. I like my mornings when I go shopping. No one in the stores and everything is stocked. Its 30 miles to the store and then 30 miles back home.
