And has no payload capacity (relatively) and no off-road capabilities... Thus defeating the purpose of owning a truck.

Trucks don't have to be off road to concider them a truck. My truck has over 150k miles on the drive train except clutch, flywheel, and motor. It's hauled several rolls of 12 foot long carpet, thousands of pull pallets worth of ceramic tile, and enough hardwood flooring to cover 5 football fields. All this, and still shines for every local and national car show I put her in. Plus, it's pretty nasty down the track.

Any questions?

Yeah. Why didn't you buy a man's truck instead of an ugly Viper?

You're right, my truck doesn't fit with the topic. But, I am a member of the VTOA (Viper Trucks Of America) I've done countless custom work on a few Viper powered trucks across this nation and a couple over seas.

I strongly suggest you shut your Ford loven ass.. A truck is a truck. No matter if it's set to haul, race, show, or muddin.

Right on brother. There is a bunch of Dodge trucks I'd like to get my hands on but most of us aren't rolling in money.
I have a 01 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie SLT 2WD.I live in NW Montana and it does everything I want it to do.It would be nice to have a diesel 4X4 but they are just out of my price range for now.

Semper Fi !!!

And I've replaced numerous transmissions, clutches and rearends in SRT "trucks" because people have attempted to haul trailers and decent sized payloads only to discover that the drivetrain wasn't worth a shit. Now take your Fiat-owned, buyout taking, abortion of a truck and stuff it up your ass. KThxBye

Pardon? I dont speak retard. I've owned a few lightnings and realized that I wanted a real truck. I traded my Lightning for a 1978 Bronco and a 1979 F250.

The F250 is lifted 6" with 38's, all poly bushings and reinforced frame and floor pan. It has a 428 Cobra Jet, 4 speed, and factory style front suspension. It's still in primer and is my tow vehicle.

The Bronco has a 460 based stroker, a 4 speed, and swapped straight axle in the front. Lifted 8" total between suspension and body. All utilitarian interior. This is my off-road beater. It is sprayed with black tractor enamel, and undercoated.

I want a truck with the capabilities of a truck, and the comfort of an old, broken in pair of shoes. I built my trucks, and they perform very well as trucks. I don't need flashy paint, or some stupid exotic engine to get attention either.

Anything I have to say to you isn't worth the energy. You clearly have no sence for someone else's passion and or hobby. I turned my truck from a low end, base line, workmens special... Into an award winning show truck. All this, while working as a floor layer for many years. I believe my truck takes the gold for being a hauler.

So, if you DONT have anything nice to say, DONT say it. You don't see me badgering anyone else's truck, car, or motorcycle.

I'm talking about the overly priced, short-lived pile of Shit SRT Ram. A normal Ram is a decent truck, but the SRTs were just high maintenance, uncomfortable, impractical toys, like the Chevy SSR and the later model Lightnings. If I wanted a fast truck, I'd build a Ranger or an S10/Typhoon/Syclone. Eh.

I know u are such a superior ford c*ck swinger, but doesn't a 1978 bronco have a straight axle.i know it's not a leaf sprung truck but isn't the coil front end still a straight axle?

The 78 Bronco came with an IFS and control arms. They had a tendency to break at the frame, so I converted it to a straight axle with leafs.
