my boyfriend's ex calls to see if she can borrow his cottage for a week here or there... or she will call to see if she can use his camper for a weekend... OR, SHE WILL CALL to see if she can come to a "FAMILY PARTY" she heard he was throwing for HIS FAMILY... (mind you, she has no children with him... so I think she's an odd duck).
I might add.. he has always told her NO since we've started dating... but all the same, her asking use to make me insecure...
I don't know WHY an ex would ask for such LARGE favors!!

My ex's have all reached out at times because I'm a very good person with a great heart. They contact me because sometimes they want my advice. Somtimes they have had ulterior motives. Sometimes they try to take advantage of my generous nature. Somtimes it's because they wish they would have appreciated what they had when they had it.

I have ex's that I still talk to. I've kept him as a friend. Terms are great we don't have sex it's just not there any more. I continue to care for him though he's a great person. I don't see why even though people aren't together anymore there has to be such a negative approach on things.
Making peace with situations & respecting each other's feelings seems like a more adult way to handle things.

I don't see why even though people aren't together anymore there has to be such a negative approach on things.
Making peace with situations & respecting each other's feelings seems like a more adult way to handle things.
That seems like the best way to handle it, but unfortunately not everyone has that level of maturity when it comes to these things.

children are the reason for contact. also my ex husband are friends now and he talks to me when he has problems. especially when he hurts. last contact was when our daughter got married. we cried in each others arms. we did make a beautiful daughter together. I have no desire to go to bed with him or have a relationship. just old friends.

Im trying to get over a break up... i called quits... but im soooooooooooooo tempted to call him, go see him, get him back... i just miss him... i miss his scent... i miss his smiles... i just miss him... the insane urges may be a reason some ppl reach out to their ex's...
Im sooooooo close from calling... thus so many hours spent here...

He is the father to our son that we both love to the moon and back. That helps keep us in check. He pisses me off sometimes as I do him. It's like any other friendship, take the good and try to fix the bad.
All your friends are on that kind of a one way street with you? How lucky they all are to find the one perfect person on the earth that doesn't need to change a thing ever. In top of that, you're always right. Sounds like a blast.

It better be a life or death emergency, and one that holds at least a little amusement for me, I think my exes know that...
Men are like amusement park rides, some are like roller coasters, some are more like the teacup ride...but at the end of the day, why would you go back to stand in line for the same lame ride?
I'd rather have a lemonade shake-up and an elephant ear.
Now I'm hungry and I forgot where I was going with this.
I DEFINATELY would NEVER want to end up with a girl who counts me as having as little value as an amusement park ride. And I would NEVER DREAM of counting a girl I was dating as having that little value either. I think that it is sick to count a human being as a commodity.

Once I have been with a girl, I have a special place in my heart for her from then on until forever. Sometimes they also do as well, sometimes not. Sometimes they don't even want to speak to me again, other times they'll even say they regret leaving me. But I always have a special place in my heart for my ex's. But a new girl gets 10 times the priority though, because she has not yet broken up with me.
