I'd imagine they want something, just to feel better about themselves in some way. Maybe even to find out if you found somebody way more attractive or just plain ugly... Who knows!?!
I'm sure there are people who do this, and they're dumb... There is nothing to gain from knowing what your ex's current love looks like and how they attractive they are or aren't compared to you.
I saw my serious ex's new girlfriend and she is not attractive AT ALL in my opinion, and it freaked me out... Then saw another one of my ex's current girlfriend and she is flipping gorgeous... That freaked me out too lol.
So yeah nothing to gain by doing that.

Sometimes I consider it, but never do. It would be nice if I could unbreak a few hearts, or at least cheer some of them up and give closure. but at the end of the day, any kind of contact I'd have with scorned ex's would only make things worse for them sadly. Sucks but, if you make a girl cry, the best way to help her is to leave her alone.

Yup. Been there. I had one who would show up unannounced. Drunk.complete mess.oh god!
would proceed to make me feel Sorry for her. Way to caring or foolish I guess I was. Then would tell me about all her dating horror stories of the month and how I was the greatest ever and how she really wished she was in love with me. So after afew crazy episodes I smarten up and realized its was the same actions as when we were dating. I was being used.completely. for a shoulder to cry on.place to stay.a few bucks. A night away from her parents. Who obviously were not accepting of her actions or life style choices. So I finally said so. And asked well are you treating these other people the same as you have treated me? Didn't go over very well haven't heard from her ever since. Lol

I don't get why people take the easy way in life and always resort to going back to exes. They are just easy fixes when you get lonely but you don't really want them. I made the mistake once going out with an ex. We hadn't seen one another in over 16 years and he was the same way he was then but it took talking to him a few times for it to sink it. Thank god I never did have sex with him during round two and we only went out a couple times and worked out at the gym together. Yuck! He was completely wrong for me.

I have a great relationship with my ex's, be it husband's or boyfriends. Yeah plural
Some contact me about the woman they are involved with currently when there is trouble in paradise and the ex husbands about the children.
I've contacted them on occasions to get help moving or car problems. No need to completely burn bridges and make life more difficult then it has to be.
Remember at one time you loved these people and hopefully there are still plenty of good memories.
