In memory of those people who lost their lives because of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, I am starting this thread. Where were you on that horrible morning, or... Who do you know that lost their life during the attacks or while fighting overseas as a result of the attacks?
I was at home getting ready to go to class when my dad called from workttelling me we are under attack.

I was at home. I was vacuuming.
My stepdad came home from work and told me to turn on the news.

I was in the Air Force. I used to sleep with my TV on then and I woke up to the first building on fire. Then I saw the second plane hit. Then word the pentagon was hit as well. I knew what was happening then. Very sad day.

When it first happened, i had woke up for school and when i came out of my room, my aunt was sitting on the edge of the couch. When she told me what happened, i was pretty much still asleep and all i understood was someone flew into the tower, and all i could say was "bummer". Later at school i had a teacher while everyone talked about it suggest we "turn the other cheek". I was so horridly disgusted... Eventually, i joined the military, and went to Afghanistan.

i was in my senior year of high school. i remember it being a beautiful day outside. i was in first period drawing class when my teacher came back in to the room saying that a plane crashed into the world trade center. i looked out the window and there was smoke coming from one of the towers. next thing you know another plane crashed into the building. after that everyone knew it was a terrorist attack. my uncle worked in one of the towers but luckily he worked the midnight shift. i had a few nightmares after that event.

My ex and I had just got home from a trip to Texas the night before. We were sleeping and the phone rang. It was his mom telling us to turn the tv on. We watched the second plane hit. It was devastating. DA, I couldn't imagine being so close. Thank Heavens your Uncle was safe. It is days like 9-11 and this crap going on today, that makes me thankful for the the sacrifices made by the Men and Women in the Military.

I had just gotten to work late as usual when I heard gasps. I looked up to see what was going on to see the second plane hit the towers. I'm not even sure if we were watching it live or if it was recorded. I got a call shortly there after from the foreign exchange student who was staying with my bff & I. She was crying & freaked out because she didn't know if she would be allowed to ever go home again since all airports were being forced to ground all planes. I took the rest of the day off & consoled a teenage girl who was frightened that something that horrible would happen in America. She was from Austria so I'm not really sure what she was used to.
