Huge Minecraft fans in our family. We have a map we're building that is going great. Starting to really learn some cool stuff I can do with red stone currently.
Anyone else play? Have creations, screen shots or videos to share?

I get hooked on just about any game I play. I've gotten bored with Minecraft as well but since my daughter plays and watched YouTube videos about it I eventually get drawn back.
I'm currently working on an subway system with a central station located in the middle of the map. I'm using red stone to wire the stations for lights, retrieve and store mine carts and shift the tracks to select a chosen destination.
Each destination has to also have the same system of storing and retrieving carts and returning to the central station. So far I've completed two destination stations and I have three more to go.

I have random surges of playing mine craft. Seems like I finally get a decent base going then I take off to explore and can never find my way back home.
I enjoy 7 days to die as well, but that game seems like it would be more fun with friends. None of my friends play pc games so that isn't really an option for me.

I'm always slow to these survival games online alone. I've watched too many streams of dayZ that it was just getting killed over and over. Tried Rust Online and it was just bands of friends raiding the new players

I don't mind a little PvP action but I don't handle ganking for very long.
Now have teams that have built up a base camp and then skirmish in the woods, that sounds like fun.

I've done that before. I've learned how to read the map really well now and have a notebook I use to record coordinates when needed and work out designs.
My current map is all being built underground. I've started expanding a couple small villages but everything else is underground and connected through underground rail so I had to learn to use the maps so I could stay underground and connect everything.

I'm so far off the map my dot doesn't even show up along the edge anymore. Usually I'll make huge pillars to point me back home but for some reason I didn't this time. I haven't died yet on this play so I have about 50 enchanting levels I don't want to lose

Oh man. You need to create a base and record your coordinates.
I used to worry about finding my way home sometimes and built towers with hundreds of torches but now I just track coordinates.
Also, generate a new map where you are. The center will generate where you are now and you can start over. Store the old map in case you find your old home some day. Use your anvil to label them.

Your current coordinates should be on the map. So stand in your base and you'll get your coordinates. I have a tree house somewhere in my first world that I lost for a month and gave up on

I play on the PlayStation. PlayStation version doesn't have the multi map function but I saw it in a YouTube video. Seems like it could get really confusing but I love the idea of having an endless map. Might end up getting the pc version soon.

Yeah, I seriously just can't get into it. I tried playing it a few times, just didn't see the appeal of it.
