I've had an fb for over a year. We're monogamous, kiss each other hello and goodbye and say we miss each other. Am I reading too much into this or is it just a great fb situation. Any thoughts?

are you sure he is monogamous I have found that most guys are afraid to commit because they don't wnt you close enough to find out their true colors.

I was in a fb situation too. I didn't feel right, I felt empty. I needed more. It was exciting at first, but then I lost that burst of energy just before he came over. I felt like he was hiding me. Then it hit me that I wanted a committed relationship. When I brought it up, he hesitated and said "Don't you like what we have now." That's when I knew I wasn't the only one.

FWB's do nothing for me.
lol. I gave it a try (briefly) & I literally fell asleep on the guy.
I'm not judging. If it works for you, go for it.
I just feel like its a guys way of getting a cheep (free) lay & they usually have others waiting in the wings.....

Everyone is different,which I can accept.
NEVER been a FWB,only because I deserve better,and hate the idea ,only would be giving his hands a break from pleasing himself.
Only type of friend with benifits I have is ones who want a home cook meal,their home clean,in return I may get leaves out of gutters,snowblower fixed.Now there is a good friends with benifits.Win win for both of us.

The only person that would know the answer would be who you think??? is being honest and monogamous with you.
No one here can answer,let alone take a guess.

FWB has to be a mutually beneficial arrangement. If you are not happy with the ambiguity of the situation it needs to move forward or stop. If you continuing without addressing what you need, it will only cause pain and resentment. When his only crime is being consistent with what he already told you he wants. Don't create a relationship that doesn't exist. We as women are notorious for compromising.
"Women need a reason to have sex, men just need a place"
A man doesn't even have to like a woman to have sex with her. Remember that when you are questioning your relationship.

I agree! And Facebook is the worst place for cheating. It's how my ex-husband hooked up with his long time girlfriend from high school and then left me 4 months after our last child was born. I also dated a couple of men who met women through their friends list. That's just wrong.
