I am only on here for opinions. I met a great man online and recently saw a dating site app on his phone. I looked him up online (made a fake profile) and there he was...his profile, which said he was online that day. Any thoughts? I confronted him and he said that his internet connection is always on, so that is why it showed that he was online when it did. But I know that is hogwash. Thanks!

I don't know how long the two of you have been dating - so this is hard to comment on.

Obviously - there are trust issues.

if it concerned you, why didn't you just ask him when you saw the app on his phone?

why the cloak and dagger routine?

That is not the case, however, I wanted to be sure I wasn't being played like a fool. I think it is natural, and many others would have felt the same.

I don't care how others feel. It feels sneaky and deceitful to me. I would have asked him. It's the adult thing to do.

if he was playing you it doesn't matter how you find out. he's still playing you and now you are sneaky game player too.

You asked for thoughts. I gave mine.

OP - It sounds like he sees you not as a GF, but as a FWB...and one of many. I have a GF, and am still online here, but I made my profile invisible, and have often announced that I am here just for the forums...not dates any longer, because I am currently taken. If he is online still, and his profile is visible, and he is messaging women, or answering messages from women, or both messaging, and answering messages, it is clear that he is not exclusively yours. Did he ever say that he would be exclusive to you? Did he promise fidelity, or not mention it, or did he announce that he is a 'Player', and expect you to understand? If you want him badly enough to share him with others, stay with him. Otherwise dump him and find someone new.

It depends on the phone and which app he has got. I used to have women ask me why I was on pof all the time when I had not logged on there for months. Alot of people think the person is on the dating site when actually they are only online....big difference.

A guy should always be on the lookout for someone new and make sure she knows. That way the woman either steps up her game or gets replaced.

Entrapment.... End of story! If you saw the app and discussed it, then asked him close his account and to delete the app off the phone or asked to read his profile to see what his intent on the site is, then his answer of yes or no at that moment would have told you the whole story.

Jmo..

two months in and you can't communicate.

have you both TALKED about the level of exclusivity you are?

if you're just DATING, there's nothing wrong with talking to other people, until you both have had the EXCLUSIVE TALK.

once you're an item, that's when things are a little bit more unclear. i still have this profile for the forums. my boyfriend has known i've had this profile, and there's no problem with it. but we have talked about it.

so, OP. have you had the EXCLUSIVITY TALK?

until then, asking for an opinion on this is irrelevant.

Who knows....whe I leave here, I really don't log off....I just turn off the computer.

and I suppose that gives me the appearance of still being online.

So you see this little app.....and out goes all the trust, enough you create a fake profile...

but have no fear....enough here have as many issues as you do.

So..at least you came to the right place I guess.

Nutcases!!!!...when will it end?

Who is he? I need to tell him to bail and fast.....too much drama....your a nutcase and no way the relation will last.

It seems to me, if he is this great guy...and treated you so well all this time.

Before you made a fake profile and all this suspicion...over something as thin as that.

you might have talked with him first.

Lady, its common for many just to turn off their computer, instead of actually logging out.

go see a shrink about your issues....but first tell him your a kook , but to hang on your seeking help.

Maybe, he'll be stupid enough to stay.

because I'd a ran off as fast as I could.

How long have you been dating?

Keep in mind that you are only dating and are not married or engaged. He has every right (just as you do) to still date other people until you have both decided to become monogamous or committed to one another forever.

first of all if you already have a relationship with him for months there is no reason for him to have a profile on the dating site. 2nd if you think he is still looking than move on and leave him right away don't need to waste your time on someone that can't respect you by dedicating his time to only be your partner and not many girls partner. 3rd you are not a youngster you are a grown up and if you have kids you should know better not to let them get attach to someone that you have doubts about. good luck.

You only been dating for two months

Why do people always expect others to drop everything at the drop of a hat it doesn't work that way

You may have been dating him for 2 months but that doesn't justify you needing him to end his account just like you he is looking for the right match and sorry to say it takes a while to know someone before they are a good match dating takes even longer

What this sounds like to me you are looking for a instant family man and that is the wrong way to go about things give the man his space if he truly wants to be with you eventually he'll let it go but pestering him after just 2 months is not cool most women keep their accounts as well hence you're on here asking about what you should do about him what should he do about you ?

Main reason why most women can't find a good man they don't give him a chance to prove he is and whilist you are spying on his phone and things you are making his decision that much easier just saying

If that were true, you wouldn't be here.

I am only on here for opinions

You have absolutely no friends or family?
People that actually know you, and possibly him, and the situation?

I know that is hogwash.

Maybe you have information that isn't in the OP but it is a plausible reason for what information you do provide.
I know the POF app was never automatically signing people out, even if the app was closed and they hadn't been using it for hours, and some apps will sign you in automatically if you ever connect to the internet, even if you don't go to the site.

They are sex addicts dear Petal ...

addicts do not care about your welfare ... they do not care about your rights.

They will NOT give them selves to their woman where she is the only one who touches them.

They had an over sexualized childhood ... and as adults .. are overly sexualized.

Hey .. their God the Father in Heaven has baby sex with His Daughters ...

and the Priests who tell you to worship in Church ...

well they f**k your sons and daughters as well.

It is the triple holee miracle of the cherry pop nots.

Just believe and you get to go to Heaven ... after you put money in to the church bowl for what I am selling.

He is still looking.

He'll hold on to you until he can trade you in.

I hate to be negative, but I think this one is happening. The 3rd guy I met on here, I thought liked me and was planning to be an item & form a relationship. I was loyal and deleted off...but he remained on----ANd not to chat in the forums. Loyalty in men is difficult to find. Online or offline, they're still not loyal.

And yet here you are on a dating site. Asking a bunch of strangers who have never met you or your boyfriend if he is cheating or not. Since you went to all the trouble of creating a fake profile, you should have grown a pair and messaged him to see if he would respond. Then you would know the answer.

You should have had a talk about Internet dating sites when you decided to be together. And making a fake just to check up on him instead of just asking about it? There's some trust issues already.
