Two part Question:

This can be applied with or without a date.

Name a movie, you've seen about ten times or more.....but would watch it again thru out your life?

Also....What famous, raved about movie from any decade that is considered a movie icon, that you just put off watching forever....then finally viewed in, and thought considering all the clammer about it, you thought it either sucked or couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about.?

Mine was: Gone With The Wind......I never watched it till a couple of years ago.

I liked Clark Gable as an actor, but Gone With The Wind did nothing for me as a movie. Pearl Harbor and Titanic did nothing for me, you're going to make love stories out of a couple of tradgies?

I have a collection of 50's and early 60's sci-fi films that I watch all the time. Forbidden Planet comes to mind when compared to a lot of the others, you can see the influence of Disney Studios in the quality of the special effects for that era. As good as Ray Harryhausen was with the special effects, Disney had him beat.

My dad was 101st airborne during ww2, Saving Private Ryan and the amount of gore made it obvious to me why he was always relunctant to talk about his experiences in Europe. Older movies covering ww2 I guess for obvious reason of the day didn't divluge the horrors of war as graphically?

I can't count how many times I have seen Blade Runner. I can watch it any time and not get bored.

I was going to say Gone With the Wind.

My former SO was a big fan of Eddie and the Cruisers. So was I. That was the movie we watched when we first met. I could probably watch it again too.

One of my favorites was Annie Hall. I still liked Woody Allen back then.

Your title made me hear the song Benny & Joon

Guilty by Suspicion and Running on Empty are the only two movies I have intentionally rewatched that often.

Major disappointment when I finally got around to it: Fight Club. I wouldn't say I thought it sucked--it was an interesting premise--but it was two solid hours of boring to get there.

Wayne's World

Part 1 and most definitely Part 2 (the Jim Morrison actor is oddly similar)

which brings to mind another movie I could watch repeatedly: The Doors---It was rumored that Val Kilmer was so uncanny and eerily like Jimmy baby, they thought he was resurrected from the dead!

There's a couple that I have watched more than 10 times and would watch it again and again. One is the untouchables with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery. The other is a Christmas classic called it's a wonderful life with Jimmy Stewart and Donna reed.

The classic that I watched a few years back and thought it sucked so bad that I wanted to wash my eyes out with bleach was Ben Hur.

1. Philadelphia Story w/ Grant/Hepburn/Stewart

Modern: Pulp Fiction or True Romance

2. Fight Club (granted, it's a good movie...but I just don't get it's huge cultural impact)
