NOt sure what is the homebody? Someone sits home all day?
Than no.
Why not? I don't mind staying in, watch a movie, but after that let's get out of the house even if we go for a walk.

I'm both..I enjoy our home, garden, cooking, doing projects..but I like to go too.

I think there's a fine line between "homebody" and agoraphobic on some of these profiles me thinks

I enjoy a date at home (hers or mine). I don't mind going out to restaurants, movies, concerts, museums, shopping, etc. I'm not a fan of bars, clubs, or parties, however. Also, I probably wouldn't date someone with a pathological fear of venturing out.

To me there is enough compatibility, knowing you can't be the same in everything and....compromise.

So that's how both handle it.

If you don't have compromise and the difference is that important....then you don't have compatibility in that area and if its important enough....it can be a problem with some.

But, if their other qualities superceed that and you can accept this without much compromise....then it may not be a problem.

I answered this way, because I can't always answer hypotheticals, unless I met the woman.

I personally have no reason - unless there IS a reason - to go off my place...
I don't go to bars, don't have enough money to waste at the casino, not a church goer, not interested in going by myself anywhere actually.

I've been in every state except hawaii and alaska - a bunch of them hitchhiking - the rest being paid.

My last relationship enjoyed going to breakfast or dinner every once in a while and I had no problem with those sorts of things. Because we were compatible in our dislike of being out and about - staying home was easy and fun...

I have no problem planning and going out to stuff together as a couple - but by myself - no thanks...

Acreage is awesome. I have lived both city, suburbia and remote..

Remote is by far the most fun..

When you wake up and there a bear on your patio trying to lick the grill..

You see hawks picking up cats..

Like , why would you leave home?

I think being a home body just means you don't mind being at home most of the time. Some people just cant bear being home all the time, they get cabin fever and go stir crazy. Its those stir crazy people that shouldn't date homebodies unless they don't mind spending the majority of their time either miserable or apart.

about 3 months ago i was out front with a cup of coffee enjoying the morning when i heard a chicken make a certain "squawk"? I knew from years of having them - that something was off - so I quietly and slowly walked over to the edge and looked down the property...

There about 150' away was a red tailed fox with one of my girls in it's mouth.
I knew she was dead - they are fragile enough - and i knew that i would have to bury it - i was not even mad at the fox - probably had a family - and to have the balls or?? to come into the middle of a place with 6 dogs running loose!!!

anyway, i just stood there watching and then i "quietly" while not moving - cleared my throat...the fox looked my way - was unsure of what it was seeing and while not moving i just quietly said from behind my coffee cup - "i see you got breakfast?"

the damn thing DROPPED the bird and ran!!!!
i was so upset about that more than the fact it killed the bird!!!

still had to bury it - what a waste - 9 yr old rhode island reds are not the best to eat at that age!

i don't get orioles over here
wish i did
i grew up around them
beautiful birds...

i have documented something like 30+ different birds that have either visited or live around me...being that i am one of the very very few that have ponds and trees other than oak and pine...along with the waterfalls i have that attracts all the smaller birds...

i have pictures of hummingbirds sitting on my kids fingers...
they used to get stuck in my greenhouse until i changed the entrance a bit...and when they did i would have to get them and put them outside - all of my kids and a few of my neighbors have gotten to hold and or pet a hummingbird because of it - including a 76 year old neighbor lady that had never ever held one in her life - talk about an experience for her...

it's easier to stay on the farm than leave it...

The older I get the more I want to be home. I have dated men who like to go to clubs, do karaoke, go to friend's for get togethers etc. Not for me. I prefer being home once I've been dating someone a while. A good movie, cooking together or something is really fun.

that's different though! I love the outdoors. Definitely so! But there's a difference in a homebody that doesn't like to go outside versus a homebody that just doesn't want to date someone who is extremely social and likes to go out places around others. That's me.

As I look back on my best relationship to date, one of the best dates I was ever on was partially spent at her house decorating her Christmas tree, which also involved nice conversation and listening to good music. Two people can really bond when there aren't a lot of other people and distractions around.

Yeah foreign invaders in the south are a big nuisance..
And those fish are extreme predators.. they are dominating Florida waterways
Some idiot tried to farm them on a golf course pond a mile away from my house.

They just keep speading..

me being a homebody depends on the weather, if its nice outside , I'm usually off somewhere stomping the woods or around water.... I'll fish if it's not too cold, if they aint biting then I'm going hiking or exploring places I've never been before...

Atlanta is a nice metro center and where everyone flies into. Not really a representation of the south.

If you seriously are flying in, I'm close enough to say hello and grab a drink if you have a short layover.
