Have you ever tried to make a statement, but just did not know where to start. With the grandkids coming South for Christmas, my thoughts turned to how to drive their parents crazy until next year's visit. Ah hah, socks, an every day item in everyone's wardrobe. Some are old, some are new, however all look warn after a few washings. I'm looking at argil socks, you know, those multi-colored diamond shapes that run up your leg. By just turning them inside out, wala, a very different raw looking pattern. Grandies arrive tomorrow. My plan, to wear my most colorful socks...turned inside out. If given the chance to help dress them during their visit, theirs will be turned also.
We all know there are mischief elves, and grannies too.
So, do tell...thingees that you see a bit different.
Don't by shy.

All sox should be the same color, preferably oatmeal, which is light enough to find in the dark and dark enough to conceal dirt. Life it too short for matching sox.

Colors are fun, as are patterns. But inside out, now that can be a trip.
Grandies thought my idea was shall we say different. Think they were just gracious enough not to make fun of my idea. They played along.
PS, their mom did not see the humor. As I had expected.

Part the kids hair on the wrong side and see how Mom reacts to that. Once had a neighbor (son's friend) and he wanted an afro. Mom definitely said NOT HAPPENING so one day he was at the house and we rolled his hair on those tiny permanent rollers. Talk about fuzzy head when we were finished. We went to his house and hid outside by the door while he went in. For a few minutes I thought we were going to need the ambulance for Mom. She shrieked, cried, screamed and was about to grab a handful of his hair when it was time for me to go in and explain. We all had a good laugh but don't recall her laughing over it. That was fun.
