Lately after my workouts, I notice my body stays warm days later. I read you could burn calories hours to days later. Could my metabolism stay up days later??

Check your blood pressure at a drug store daily if you don't have access to one

When I workout I always check my heart rate, before I start working out, during my workout, and before I leave the gym. I seen the doctor yesterday, my blood pressure is 136/79. It's a lot lower than before and I lost 23 lbs in almost 2 months. I wish it was more, but I'm happy.

The afterburn effect or EPOC (exercise post oxygen consumption) is what you're referring to.
BUT..to be honest, most people don't train with the type of intensity needed to benefit from it. In most cases, a person's metabolism will return to normal within 3-5 hrs post exercise. Also, even IF the intensity is high enough, at most you're looking at 12-24 hrs post exercise.

Have you maybe thought you're improving your blood circulation from regular exercise?
Obviously during and after a workout-- your blood vessels will dilate or open up and carry more oxygen to the muscles... but for days after? It's possible you had poor circulating prior to exercising and now you're reaping the benefits!
Also muscle soreness (inflammation) should cause a very slight temp increase as well

When classes were in I workout once or twice a week. I couldn't go to the gym every day like I can on Christmas break. But now during the spring semester I can go often.

Yes it can Google it with the right work out your metabolism can be spiked for 48 hours afterwords reason being your body is having to repair itself and yes if you really work out its common especially if your doing full body cicuits not as likely if your doing just cardiovascular though
