Latina, on the other hand, is an etnia. The fact in USA both terms are used interchangeably doesn't mean this is correct. Trust me, I am 62 y/o and Spanish is my first language...besides, I have over 20 years as a professor of Spanish (Lang. & Literature) and I know all the mistakes USA makes in reference to this topic. As you can obvious read the title of this thread is HAIR STYLES FOR KIDS. Not what's Hispanic and what is Latino. If I wanted to know the difference I would have made a thread about it. I ttry not to like fuss with their hair too much, but their hair is just long and curly which in the end equals, them looking like they just rolled out of bed halfway through the day. No matter what a do, pony tails, French braids, etc.

aladytoo Monroe, WI 61, joined Apr. 2006	Just saw a mom and her daughter,guessing the daughter was 5 or 6,with thick curls.She had a cute style i'll share.She had about a 1 1/2 inch heavier ribbon braided down the child's back.With cute matching clips on the sides(flexable ones).when I mentioned to the mother about her daughters hair she laughed,and said she just got up,all I did was dampen my hands with water and a bit of gel for the few flyaways,and down the pony tail.Everything was in place.
