I'm sure I could learn how to do those things to keep from starving.

I'm gonna get a little deep here, for a minute... I'll apologize in advance.
First of all, a "need" is unhealthy for a partnership, in my opinion. You "need" oxygen, for example. You don't "need" a trait or characteristic in a partner.
What I want from a partner is unconditional acceptance... Of who I am, what I believe in, who I want to be... Not "agreement", simple "acceptance"... People commonly confuse those two things.
What I want is the perfect blend of naughty and nice. Someone that will stimulate my mind as well as my body. Someone that accepts me "as is", but makes me aspire to be more. Someone who will pick me up and dust me off when I fall, then kick me in the a** and tell me to suck it up. Someone that makes me feel like the luckiest man in the world, but argues that she's the lucky one. Someone that gets my sarcastic wit and dishes it out as well.
Does she exist? Hmmmm... Time will tell.

Someone who is interested in getting to know my child. He may be 24 but he is still my child and his approval is important. You'd be surprised how many men I've dated that showed no interest in nick. Yet I am expected to hang wih their children, deal with their problems, listen to them talk about them while they never even ask me about my son or try to get to know him. It's been a red flag in several past relationships. I currently have no red flags in my relationship and what a difference it makes!
