Basically: It's relatively easy to drop in a SBC 350 using custom motor mounts available. But NONE of your current parts (from radiator to trans to axles) will hold up for very long w/ a V8 & decent tires. To make it reliable, you'd have to re-engineer just about everything. BIG bucks and alot of down time. If you really want a V8 Jeep...you be WAY ahead to join a local 4X4 club & buy an already working rig. Less costly & less down time. A TJ w/ the 4.0 six cylinder (especially if you do a 4.7 Stroker motor) is a VERY capable rig. Easiest would be to sell your 4 banger & get a 6.
