I guess the title speaks for its self. This has been touched on in other threads, but has anyone been on a date that just felt really weird or unusual. Did something funny happen that just left you thinking "what the what?!"
A short time ago I accepted an invitation to have dinner with a guy. After I got to the restaurant and the appetizers were being served, he informed me that his mother and her boyfriend would be joining us. I didn't really know how to respond to that! I knew the guy well enough to have dinner with him, but to meet his family? And without notice? I mean, come on!
A few minutes later a very elderly couple joined us. After introductions were made, his mother and her boyfriend proceeded to spend the entire meal discussing how they met, their sex life,  and asking very personal questions! The guy I was with (I'll refrain from calling him my date at this point) thought the whole thing was funny; especially after his mom's boyfriend told me I had a "nice rack."
Another time I was on the way to the rodeo with a guy and his brakes went out going down a hill. He managed to get the car stopped (against a tree) and the remainder of that date was spent in the clinic getting 6 stitches in my head. He was very sweet and apologetic, and we even dated a few more times, but he got called away on business and we just drifted apart.

Never had a weird date before. I wouldn't want to meet a guys parents until I know he is the one for me and we have gotten to know each other. However, since I live with my parents the guy will have to meet my parents if he wants to take me out at night. With the guy I'm currently seeing he would come over while my parents were working and after a few times he finally was ready to met my parents. My parents really like him and are glad that I have someone to spend time with.
