But damn its starting cost me a lot. The job I do I drive a lot. Its a 02 grand am. Great car but past few months break downs are getting me.
Its got almost 210,000 miles 3.4L
The list of stuff I've had done to this car is so long. (I put on a lot of miles) just replaced wheel bearings again. Now I'm over $2,000 what I go into it.
I got a spark plug that can't get out. Needs be drilled out
Garage said $750 or more.
Moms bf said he'd do for $500 + change my oil, put in a oil pressure switch which it needs, & thermostat.
Love my car but how much is to much? J don't mind getting fixed but
Not so close ttogether.

I'd rather keep it then pay 2-3 grand for decent car. Plus I don't have anyway to get money for another car at this time. Kinda stuck

no,just keep it for another 3-4 yrs,and put the 2-3 grand into that one.
before you know it,the repairs you add up,will be worth a heck of a lot more than the car.
in other words, you're throwing your money away

I have no plans to get rid of it. For what I do everyday and it's a 02 its in great shape. Soon I'll turn in the deer damage and it'll look like new again. Once I get like 2 or 3 more things done it'll be almost like new. I'd like to get over 300,000 miles outta it I'd be happy.
I understand its like throwing moneyaway. Like iI said I'm stuck*.

well,I wish you luck.
my post wasn't meant to badger you at all.
but,i wouldn't dream of keeping any American 4 cylinder or v6 after even 200,000 miles.
how do you consider it to be in great shape, with that amount of money you've shoveled into it?
seems logical to sell it as it is,as long as its running decent for now....
and take whatever you can get for it,and use it as a down payment on a decent used car.
with the miles it has on it right now, you're dreaming if you think the repairs will come to a hault.
whatever you decide,i sure as hell hope you aren't kicking yourself months from now.

I haven't had a lot of trouble with it unlike my previous 2 cars. I put on close to 40,000 miles a year. So I drive a lot. Its not rusted out. I'll get there.
My grandmas 07 dodge cailber has 260,000 miles. Are jobs we drive lot.

Save you money on the spark plug being stuck look around junk yards and get a used cylinder head it be lot cheaper and either way the old one has to come out and get a few bucks back by scraping out the bad cylinder head
