I'm the type of person who isn't really interested in where you are but more where you're going. Not everyone is where they want to be in life in fact most people are trying to get there. The things I look for; are you ambitious, do you have goals, are you a hard worker, and are you willing to sacrifice short term pleasure for long term happiness. If you've got those, you've got my attention!

Yes. I like if he has any of these:
Guitar
Mountain bike
Juicer
several Bookcases, filled with books.

Especially the books. Preferably not just school texts and required stuff, and not all anime or graphic novels, but ones on a variety of topics like the environment, politics, science, history.

Hopefully the video games and console are not on display.

It's natural to judge someone by things they have...

Of course I form an opinion of a person by it as well..

SIMPLE things that stand out...their job, their vehicle, their clothes, jewelry (watch, rings).. and often times if a Guy is over doing it with material things it is not as flattering as you think...

People should try and present themselves in a nice well taken care of state..which includes materialistic stuff!!! Not pricey but clean, neat and appealing.

I'm not especially interested in that sort of thing. I am perfectly capable of supporting myself and don't really consider the other person's income to be my concern.

I can see, though, where that might be different for those young enough to be looking for someone to start a family with.

It's one thing if a person doesn't have a job / career due to an illness or medical condition that is debilitating. It's quite another if said person is no more than a bum and or sponging off family members for support.

We have all been there at one point or another in our lives where our jobs / careers didn't take us where we wanted to be. But then again, one has to prioritize what is important, and what isn't.

For me, dating is not important when I am wondering whether or not I am going to get fed. At that point my stomach takes priority.

To me it isn't what they have. It's a matter of those that want all the sugar handed to them on a silver platter. Then now willing to help make more sugar. Who hasn't been down on their luck at one time or another? Those that judge such a person willing to do what it takes when down is another story as well.

It's your right to do that. Just like it's my right to not deal with women that expects me to have everything.

1. mutual attraction
2. how she makes me feel
3. how she treats others, especially people she doesn't know

Employment doesn't matter as much.

More so what they have inside them...the material stuff is nice, having a car, home etc...but if the person is a jerk then the stuff wont help with the attraction...it's the person I'm attracted too.
